Upper 3star inside for sure. So impressed. Stayed one week. Rooms cleaned every day, excellent flooring, cleanliness, updated shower and basin, ice clear and when it melted tastes like purified water, microwave, mini fridge, cable ready, no problem navigating the chanels, high security, no bugs!!!

Not great, but good enough considering the price. It's quite old and could definitely use some sprucing up, but that would probably cost a lot of money they likely don't have. No bugs (as opposed to the Motel 6 in Carlsbad I stayed at before here). A/C worked well, bed was comfortable enough for me, and the Cox Cable had plenty of choices.

Unfortunately didn't take my time to research it. I guess is under new management. The lobby smells, room super small, etc. Good location. Never coming again.

It's okay. Half renovated but the furniture was very old and worn. Bathroom was renovated and very good. Friendly staff. It's an old Econo Lodge.

Clean room and everything that need to work did, like the A/C, lights, T.V. and restroom. The bed was good but not great and so were the towels. Excellent service, room was cleaned great everyday. Staff was on site all night and they were friendly. Free parking was great and I was able to park right next to my room or close to it. Good locate as well, it is right off the freeway. I would rent a room from this place again.

Our stay at Hotel Avenida in Oceanside was overall okay. The hotel itself was clean and the room was comfortable, but unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. My biggest issue is that I never received my $100 deposit back. I’ve called the hotel multiple times and was repeatedly assured that it would be returned to me, but I’m still waiting. At this point, it’s frustrating to have to keep calling about money that should have been refunded without having to chase it down. The staff could also really work on their people skills and how they communicate with guests. A little professionalism and better customer service would make a big difference. Clean hotel, but the unresolved deposit and customer service issues definitely affected our overall experience.

If you’re looking for a basic place to sleep with a mini fridge, this hotel is a decent option. The second floor is accessible by room keycard, which adds some extra security. The beds were comfortable enough, the mini fridge and AC both worked well, and there was plenty of parking. There were occasionally people riding bikes through the property, but they did not bother the cars or cause any issues during our stay. I didn’t give the hotel 5 stars for a few reasons: 1. It was a very hot weekend, and we were looking forward to using the pool. Unfortunately, the pool was dirty, so we decided not to use it. I wasn't expecting a luxury hotel, but I was expecting to be able to use the pool. 2. The hotel had hot water and coffee available in the lobby, but the hot water was cold. Thankfully there is a Tierra Mia Coffee across the street. 3. Our room key kept getting demagnetized. I had to go to the front desk twice to have it reprogrammed. Overall, this is a basic hotel that worked fine for our needs, but the pool, hot water and key-card issues were disappointing.

Outside the place looks great.our room needed painting over large hole patches. Floors were dirty and the bathroom needs major updating. Walking in the room was an overwhelming smell of a strong chemical spray. Once the smell wore off the place had a bad odor. There was no blow dryer in the room. No continental breakfast. It is convenient to park and fairly close to the beach. It was not worth the price we paid. Across the street the coffee shop is excellent!
