“Newly renovated. Everything was pretty good. Shower did have mold in it. But the worst part were how dirty the floors were in our suite, desperately needed a mop”

“If the air conditioner was on and you wanted to use the microwave or hairdryer you had to shut it off. The bathroom switch was sinked to the plug in so when we thought we were charging our phone it was not.”

“Comfortable beds and pillows made for a restful night. The included breakfast was okay but I wouldn’t rate it excellent (as shown in reviews) because of the powdered scrambled eggs. They were terrible. I would prefer hard boiled eggs as a good source of protein to start the day. The cottage potatoes were good, the coffee had some taste and fresh fruit (watermelon slices, apples and oranges) were provided. Staff was friendly and efficient.”

“The best thing about Smith Rock Chalets is the view. To begin, the road in is over a mile (2.2km) of rough gravel. The shower has slightly warm water, at best. The wood kitchen chairs are uncomfortable, and the couch (hide-a-bed) in the loft (TV room) is equally uncomfortable. The bed was fairly soft but not too bad to sleep on. The weather wasn’t great while I was there so we didn’t use the pool or hot tub so can’t comment. I could not recommend the place.”
