“Unfortunately, we were a little disappointed with the condition of Elk Forge. Many years ago in the early 2010s, the facility was beautiful and now it just seems run down. We did not look for any reviews because we had assumed it was still the same. It seems maybe new owners have taken over the property and starting from scratch to get it up and running. “Check in was so simple; the place was clean, beautiful, and comfortable; the hostess was friendly and helpful; and the breakfast foods were great! We loved everything about staying here! And the baby goats on the property were a fun plus!”

“Very clean establishment and hotel room that is right on the Main Street of Strasburg. The area is quiet and safe. The split unit in our room, (room 3), made a loud rattling noise whenever the thermostat kicked on…which was about every 45 minutes or so. That made it difficult to sleep as we were woken up every hour. Breakfast is offered at the Speckled Hen, which is about 1/4 mile away. The food and staff are exceptional. Having an ice cream parlor connected to inn was convenient and dangerous...

“We stayed just one night and had a great experience. Kenneth, the host was very helpful and welcoming. Our room was large with king bed, small sitting space and attached bathroom. Temperature of room was perfect. The bed was very soft and comfortable. They had an electric car charger which was great to be able to charge over night for the trip home. Would stay at again if was in the area visiting.”
