This was our second stay at NH Collection New York and we’re pleased to say that our stay was just as enjoyable as the first, although this time our room looked onto a quad rather than an outside view. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the staff are efficient and friendly. We like the hotel’s location, with some attractions within walking distance. We had dinner at the restaurant attached to the hotel, Serafina, which was enjoyable.

Buying large, the property itself was nice. The room was clean. The staff was gracious and friendly. The location was great. But the room we reserved was listed as a “superior“ room. It was tiny, which is to be expected in a downtown New York hotel. But this took that to a new level of small. There wasn’t a desk. There wasn’t a table or a chair. Only one bedside nightstand. My wife had to sit on the bed to use her laptop. One expects a “superior“ room to be, in fact, “superior.“ And this was anything, but. That should be made more clear in describing the room before a purchase decision is made.
