The location of the Beacon is its best feature. The room we stayed in was clean, but run-down. The hotel is currently upgrading, so that should help. The staff was very nice.

Excellent service by all the staff at the hotel. We were upgraded to a double suite which gave us lots of additional room. The hotel is currently being refurbished so our room was a bit tired, but very clean. The location the Upper West Side is great, we really enjoyed staying in this neighbourhood.

Clean rooms with kitchenettes. Location is ideal. Across the street is Fairway Groceries with Cafe 74 above. Next to hotel is Viand(sp?) Restaurant. The beautiful theater is next door on other side. Subway is two blocks away. We stay here every visit to NYC, it’s very convenient.

Clean room for one night stay in desired location. Didn't use any of the amenities. All seemed in order with minimal noise even as the hotel is under renovation. The check in was on the second floor as the first floor lobby was walled off for construction. Front desk and housekeeping staff seemed very nice.

The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is undergoing renovation and we had one of the rooms yet to be updated but it was still great. The location is fantastic, just a minute walk from 72nd Street station at the 1, 2 and 3 trains which give great access to the rest of the city.

Great location, some construction going on- altered the front lobby but did not impact our stay. Very happy with the 2 bedroom suite, perfect for a family, did hear the TV from the room next to us while in the living room, but could not hear it in the bedroom. Staff was very nice and attentive. Would def stay there again. Store across the street is amazing. Multiple really good restaurants and parks close by.

The staff was helpful and accommodating. There were some maintenance issues with our room, but after talking with the manager everything was fixed and taken care of to our satisfaction. The location is excellent for access to the subway, Central Park, and a lot of sights and restaurants.
