Loved the bar, Jericho the bar Manager made a killer Old Fashioned. Hotel rooms are cute and well designed but a little warm. TV didn’t have regular channels yet which was a bit frustrating. Staff is super helpful and kind. Great place overall for central location.

Hotel and rooms were beautifully decorated. Staff was very nice and accommodating. The elevator was not working when we stayed, but everything about this place is historical, so it was understandable, but also unfortunate and inconvenient for the time being as ice maker was only on the first floor. Lobby, bar and restaurant were all beautiful and staff was professional.

We stayed in August 2026, originally planning to attend a concert at Whitewater. Unfortunately, the heat was unforgiving, so we decided to enjoy our planned “night away” despite the change in plans. We hadn’t been back since the renovations were completed, and wow, was I pleasantly surprised! The bar and restaurant area have been completely revamped, leaving no reminders of their former appearance. The food was also on point—my husband had the steak frites, and I chose the lobster pomodoro. Our room was clean and comfortable, although the bed was very soft. Since we were only staying for one night, it wasn’t a major issue. The reason for my four-star rating is that the elevators were not operational, and there was no TV service available during our stay. Otherwise, we had a wonderful night away and were impressed with the renovations and overall experience.

Beautifully decorated. Nice and cool rooms. Spacious design. The bathrooms were excellent and water nice and hot. The only disappointments were there wasn’t an iron and no breakfast was served. However there was a wonderful cafe near by. Just a 6 min walk. It made the trip well rounded. I will most definitely tell my friends and family and will stay again! Lovely staff! Made my husband and I wedding anniversary a very relaxing and stress free experience.

Very nice old hotel, classy inside and out, comfortable room, great nostalgic feel to it. It’s so much better to stay at small old hotels like this! Hotel also has a very nice outdoor seating area to enjoy the evening. And…the hotel is said to be haunted!

The new outdoor patio was beautiful and a fun place to hang out. Only open 4-9 pm for drinks and shareables as their restaurant is being remodeled. Great location!

We recently visited the Faust Hotel and were very happy with our stay. The hotel is beautiful and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We sat outside on the patio and listened to live music on Thursday night. We will definitely stay here again when we visit New Braunfels!

The hotel is right in the center of it all. New Braunfels is a great little vacation town, with lots of restaurant, bar, and music options. There's the river for tubing, Wurstfest, Krause's beer hall, and so much in the few downtown blocks. Short drive to San Antonio but expect traffic, and much nicer and less crowded. A few museums and the Schlitterbahn park round out the options.

What a unique quaint boutique hotel! If you are searching for the "cookie cutter hotel" scenario - then skip this one. But if you are into history - culture - classic architecture - all with a great approach to Guest Service - then give this place a shot! I would go back in a heartbeat!

Great location, convenient parking, and so many places within easy walking distance. It's an old hotel, but very clean, and the staff is about the best I've encountered. The room was small, but I'd say cozy. Very comfortable and clean. There was a cover band in the late afternoon, early evening, and they were wonderful. Highly recommend.

The beds were so comfortable! Very old hotel, so if you dont like that old style charm, you probably wont like this hotel. A couple ghosts... but thats fine. Just makes it more interesting! Would definitrly stay here again!
