“Very nice accommodation, clean and well appointed. Great shower, comfy bed and nice quality bedding. Breakfast was very good - tasty bacon and egg roll, yoghurts, cereals, fresh fruit. Highly recommended. ”

We're told at reception that the room was up 2 flight of stairs but it would be worth it, Walking into room 12 our breath was taken away, it was definitely worth the climb. Dinner that evening and breakfast next morning we're excellent. Will definitely be back. Jim and Lorna”

“This is an exceptionally restored period property with many comforts and a warm personal touch from the hosts. The grounds and environs are spectacular, with many great hikes straight out of the front door or from nearby Hayfield. Recommend!”

“We had a great stay at The School House. The room was very comfortable and Helen was very helpful in providing a delicious breakfast so we could leave promptly to see the Manchester Marathon. There is a pleasant walk nearby (recommended by Helen) and we had a great meal at The Fox - just a short walk away. ”
