We had a nice stay at this resort. Lots of great pools and really nice entertainment staff. I found the wait staff to be a little less friendly and the food was average. The A/C wasn't great either.

Riu Negril was an amazing experience from start to finish. I truly enjoyed everything about my stay—the atmosphere, the service, and the overall hospitality were all excellent. The resort was beautiful, well-maintained, and very relaxing. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The food and entertainment were also great, with plenty of options to enjoy throughout the day. Overall, I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Riu Negril to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway. I would definitely give it a 10 out of 10!

The property overall was nice. The food was pretty good. What wasn’t nice is how far away the rooms are from the reception desk. Doing that long distance walking multiple times per day in that heat was a lot. I think having the availability of golf carts would be great. Also not having room service is a huge setback. You’re also not allowed to take carry food out from the restaurants and buffet. What if someone is a diabetic?

Well kept property with great views of the area. Lots of lounge chairs at the pool and beach so we are always able to secure a spot. Would have liked hot tub available for evenings or just in the spa. Pools closed early at 6pm which seemed kinda early. Steakhouse restaurant was especially good.

All around great resort with a clean beach. Everyone was friendly and we had a great time. Best advice is to book your signature restaurants two days out and in the morning. They only book two days out and fill up by lunch time. All done through the app so pretty easy.

We had such a good time here, I would say the only drawback is the time in advance to make dinner reservations if you wanted to eat at one of the restaurants that requires reservations. The food at the walk in restaurants was good though. The staff was above and beyond amazing and made our stay so amazing!

Overall, a very nice stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the beach was well-maintained with beautiful, clear water, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and there were plenty of activities available at the resort. The food was edible and there were plenty of options, but unfortunately nothing really stood out to me. The AC in my room also had some difficulty keeping the room as cool as I would have preferred, although it maintained a decent temperature. This also seemed to be fairly common throughout Jamaica, as I noticed many places were warmer than I would have liked. The resort layout also required quite a bit of walking, and there are no elevators, which is something to keep in mind. I’m typically a Riu Palace guest, and I do think the Palace properties provide a more premium experience. For that reason, I’ll probably stick with the Palace level for future Riu stays. That said, Riu Negril was still a nice resort and I had an enjoyable trip overall.

Good- swim up room was perfect, buffet offers variety of delicious choices with staff to serve your table with wine or other needs. Entertainment staff is amazing- shout out to GiGi Bad- beach is not as pristine as the sister property Riu Palace, it is swimmable but seaweed is thick.
