I was able to be the first one in one of their newly remodeled rooms. Very nice. The ladies and the gentlemen that worked there are friendly and are very helpful.👍 The motel is continuing to do upgrades. I would definitely stay there if back in town.

It was an "historic" hotel and had the vibe as such. The room was one of the newer "remodeled" rooms, yet there was still more improvements needed. Just needed a place to sleep and it sufficed. Staff was friendly and greeted me all the time.

Location is good and cheap. It's under renovation and a bit old looking so should spruce up real well when complete. If you're keen you can walk to town it's not that far and it is what it is for the price. Staff were lovely and friendly so I can't complain, I got more than what I paid for in that regards.

The property is great value for money, well positioned and just a ten minute or so $2 dollar direct bus ride to downtown Nashville and the airport Our room had been recently refurbished and the entire property is in the process of refurbishment. It contained a decent size fridge with freezer section and a microwave oven (but no kettle, cups & spoons). Ice is readily available and although we didn't take advantage there are laundry facilities and swimming pool One minor criticism is the dated noisy heating/cooing system but I suspect that this too will be updated in due course Just a short walk from the property there is a choice of eateries, we enjoyed good value tasty breakfasts from a couple the privately owned establishments The motel staff are excellent, very friendly and obliging - we were permitted to deposit our luggage in the office several hours before check in and granted a later check out which we very much appreciated as we were booked on an early evening flight Upon reflection I have no reservation whatsoever in recommending the Drake Motel to anyone seeking clean, comfortable and economical accommodation within very easy reach of the fabulous attractions of downtown Nashville

The Drake Inn is a bit rundown - but it's what I expected of a 'vintage' hotel. The staff were very helpful - and Lennie (from housekeeping) was the best!

Receptionist is helpful. Maids are very dirty and do not clean even to a decent standard. Stains, sticky floors (I wiped down and disinfected after check in), mold, water damage to where the inner walls were opened for bugs to enter. Management simply needs to supervise the maids because it's causing their rooms to deteriorate more quickly due to moisture damage. Rooms have no door sweep to keep dust, debris and hot air out of the rooms. Towels and and bed sheets don't smell clean at all (skimped on detergent). Pool is clean and BBQ grills are in decent condition.
