We had communicated when we were arriving. We arrived a little earlier than expected but person on staff was heading out the door. Welcome was minimal — it felt like our arrival was an inconvenience. Great location — downtown Napa and its restaurants are a couple of blocks away and an easy walk. Expect busy street and noise from traffic. Bed pillows were extremely high (uncomfortable for sleeping). We were told they were new and they did not have any others when we asked if they had anything flatter / lower. We ended up folding a blanket and putting it in the pillowcase in order to be able to sleep. Otherwise, inn was clean and well maintained and parking was available. Public areas are limited and breakfast, the one day we had it, was just okay.

The Blackbird Inn was absolutely fantastic. The care the owner has put in to restore and maintain this stunning craftsman home is just wonderful. The room was great, comfortable, and the balcony fantastic. While the happy hour was fantastic, the breakfast was only ok. We would stay there again.

We were in room #6. It was very small and difficult to maneuver around in. But the location of the Blackbird was excellent, breakfast was very good and staff was very friendly. I definitely recommend, and if we return, we will probably go back and stay there, but request a different room.

Very cute, quiet and cozy bed & breakfast. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. We were in town to visit the wineries in Napa and Sonoma so we had a rental car. The parking was included and it was close enough to walk to the bars & restaurants in downtown Napa. They had a wine & cheese hour that had some yummy snacks to have with the wine. Overall, we loved it and would stay here again.

There is so much more to love than not about the Blackbird Inn. The rooms are impeccably designed and spotless, right down to the heavy, tailored blackout curtains. The location is truly superb. We walked to downtown Napa and watched cars circling endlessly for parking on a hot afternoon and we were so glad we were on foot. Across the board, the staff operates like a well-oiled machine, and the evening wine and cheese hour was a highlight, featuring a gorgeous charcuterie spread. A few minor drawbacks to keep in mind: Shower: The water pressure is quite low, so adjust your expectations if a powerful shower is high on your priority list. Pillows: The sleeping pillows are high quality, but very firm. Definitely skip the pillow fight, and back-sleepers might find them a bit unforgiving! Breakfast: It’s adequate, but simple. Dishes come pre-plated on ceramic tableware wrapped in plastic, likely because the Inn doesn't have an on-site kitchen. If a robust, freshly cooked breakfast is a major part of your stay, you might want to factor that into your decision. Overall, it’s a lovely spot, and we really enjoyed our time here!
