Staff were great, room was lovely, food and bar area were really good and the location was ideal for my trip. My only negative was that the in-room wifi only worked if I sat by the room door, as soon as I went further into the room it dropped out. Not a big deal and stopped me scrolling, otherwise a great stay! I also appreciated the upgrade they gave me to a room with air-con, most welcome!

Bed so comfortable. Check-in not a good experience as car park full & was sent to public car park 5 mins walk away. Decided to come back to hotel with car and a different lady at reception helped me out with a car parking space on site. Wasted 35mins!!! Bistro very noisy with hen party and another table of 30!!! There has been a lot of investment in the hotel over the years & most of it very effectively invested. As in so many hotels we found the continuing use of a heavy duvet in a warm summer something that we cannot understand. I spoiled our stay. Too hot to use & too cold to do without. We find the same problem in so many hotels. It shows little regard for the customer as management must surely know that "one size does NOT fit all" when it comes to the seasonal changes in night time temperatures. You owe me the best part of a night's sleep!
