“Very stylish and comfortable room, from which we could (just) hear the babbling brook out back. The breakfast was excellent. My only complaint was that the mattress, while supremely comfortable, had less than optimal edge support. As a result, I kept feeling like I was going to roll out of bed.”

“Lovely little inn in very quiet location (though easy to get to Halifax). Room was great size, good facilities, bed was comfy! We had a nice view of a sheep field. Cooked breakfast was only available Friday - Sunday, but we were provided with a little cool bag of breakfast items which was unexpected bonus. We only stayed one night for an event in Halifax, but would definitely stay again and for longer.”

“We were visiting for a gig at Piece Hall and are so glad we chose to stay at this absolutely wonderful hotel on the outskirts of Halifax. From the moment we arrived the staff were warm, polite and helpful and this continued for the duration of our stay. As it was such a nice day, we sat in the beautiful garden and enjoyed drinks and food from the bar menu before heading into town for our concert. . Breakfast (extra) was also very good indeed. It’s not the cheapest hotel, and not the most fancy...

It was dinner time so we went down to get a meal and was told that food was t served after 7.30 , although the information in the room said we could get room service until 9pm.
