“This is a gem amongst all motels and even hotels in the Mackinaw/St. Ignace area. Completely renovated, just like the pictures show it. And dog-friendly! Yes, you can hear occasional noise from adjacent rooms but that’s no difference when staying in a hotel. I will return to this motel anytime if I need an overnight stay in the area.”

“The grounds were well maintained. Staff was helpful. However, for a five star hotel I expected the shower in our room to be larger than a shower in an RV. Also, we had to request that the vent in the bathroom be cleaned bc there was a quarter inch of dust and mildew on the vent. We also had to call and request that our room be cleaned and to get clean linens. Even though the hotel had rooms available perhaps due to the blanket of smoke, we were charged twice the amount for two days as if there...

“We own an Air B&B in Vanderbilt and woke up Thursday morning wondering where to go. We headed to St. Ignace and absolutely love to stay at small roadside 40s era motels. The Cedars did not disappoint. Small quaint refurbished room was expected and welcomed. Room and grounds were spotless. Do yourself a favor and stay here.
