The property and House was clean and cool with AC! The staff was so much fun and thoughtful! We learned so much from Alfred and Dwight throughout our stay! We also did the big zip lines, repelling, and tight rope which was fun and beautiful! There is lots to do around the resort and it’s close to so many beautiful sights!
Excellent meals, very kind staff. Ziplining was awesome

Calico Jacks is a bit outside San Ignacio so you definitely need a vehicle but the room was really cleaned and comfortable.
I stayed for only one night so I haven’t used the pool or tried the zipline but the food at the restaurant onsite and the staff were amazing.
Julio was my server and my guide the morning after to visit Barton Creek’s caves and he made sure I had a wonderful time.
The staff was AMAZING! Food was great! Top notch. This place is very remote, plan your activities accordingly. Barton cave was fun as was Rio on Pools and Big Rock Falls also worth a visit.
Accommodations are spacious although minimally stocked- no extra pillows, blankets or any shampoo etc. minimal amount of hot water.
Staff were amazing and very accommodating. Huge shout out to Julio. He totally saved the day and his enthusiasm for the native birds was infectious and very educational. The zip lining with Julio and Dennis was very fun and we were well taken care of. Totally recommend eating dinner there- fresh and local meals.
We stayed in a room that had your choice of a ladder or pulley elevator to access. It was a lot of fun. Nice bedding and the room was great. The food at the restaurant was not very good, but the staff was wonderful.
The resort grounds are beautiful and the rooms comfortable. We were there for just overnight, so did not have the opportunity to check out all their amenities. Their restaurant provided a convenient place for our dinner and breakfast, but do not expect haught cuisine. I was a little miffed at their air-conditioning charge at $15US per night per bedroom.
If you are looking for a jungle stay then this is the place! The staff is so friendly and helpful!!! Fred was the best. He was so knowledgeable and gave us advice on places to go and see.
Slight caveat: there is a dirt road leading up to the hotel and can get washed out. There is a back up road. Make sure to ask the hotel about the back up road before traveling there.
Lovely hidden jem in Mountain Pine Ridge ripe with natural quiet surroundings, great food at the restaurant and amazing staff. Villas are comfortable and tastefully furnished. We stayed in the Sun Temple villa which’s great for a family of four. Food is great at the restaurant with a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. A lot of times ingredients come fresh from the properties grounds. They have already onsite Zip lining and offer a variety of tours, some of which like ATM caves, Caracol and Barton Creek cave are highly recommended.
Great menu great location portable road to get there no shampoo in the cabin which would have been nice and way too dark when you arrive at night for the first time but overall a great experience especially if you want to do zip lines or some caving
Wonderful four day stay, wish we had booked longer. The young helpful and enthusiastic staff were excellent and taught us a lot about Belize. Big shoutout to Rigo and Julio, Joselyn and Maria, and William and Andy (for the informative evening nature walk). Excellent food too!
This is a smaller resort - used more for daily activities. We had the place to ourselves - the staff was very nice and very accommodating- two ways in- take longer way thru Cristo Rey- not much longer and more comfortable! The zip line on site is fantastic and the guides are great with beginners. Food is outstanding!
Calico Jack's in a hidden gem in Belize! You really feel like you are in the jungle on their lush grounds. The staff was super friendly and helpful, and they clearly care about their guests. We loved the activities they offer, such as the zip lining only a 10 min walk from our room.
Be sure to stay for breakfast and order the Stuffed Fry Jacks, they were the best we had in Belize!
Our room was perfect for our large family and included three separate bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The roads leading to Calico Jack's are a bit all terrain, so we recommend AWD to get there in the rainy season.
