This beautiful hotel is an homage to the craftsmanship of the past. It is a welcomed glimpse into the past where beauty and details were as important as function. The lobby is a grand first impression. The rooms have very high ceilings that give a feeling of openness in the rooms. The beds are very comfortable, but a little small for two adults. The rooms have a coffee maker and lots of little extras like makeup remover and a shower cap. We enjoyed our stay back somewhere in time.

We loved our stay at the General Morgan Inn. We came in on a Sunday and we were one of a few guests in the hotel that evening, which was kind of nice. I will say, nothing was open in the hotel that night, so we didn't get to enjoy anything besides our room and breakfast the next morning. We did enjoy walking up to the outdoor patio in the evening and just standing around looking at the view of the city. Would 100% recommend this place!

This is a beautiful, historic hotel in downtown Greeneville within a short walk to the Andrew Johnson Historic Site and several restaurants. I highly recommend it.

Loved the historic building and setting. Room was charming but there were unexpected stairs to access our room as well as breakfast. No fridge in room and ice was on a different floor. Romantic, charming setting but would ask for no steps next visit.

Good option in town if you want to have restaurant access on-site. Felt dated, but they want to keep it old-world style. Climate control was not great, but had a big room, tall ceilings and lots of light.

Trains runs all hours of the night with the horn blowing THE WHOLE TIME! Bed made lots of noises, mattress was HARD & “breakfast” was a muffin & either apple or orange juice. Save $100 and stay elsewhere.

Parking was easy. Everything in the town and area seemed very safe. The staff are awesome. The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Some slightly thin walls though, I had loud neighbors but turned the ac fan on and the neighboring noise was gone. Great water pressure and warm water. No issues at all. The downtown area is a gem. Wiish the local businesses downtown could flourish. What a great area and nice town.
