We had a great stay at Maison Grinder! The room was perfect and had a cute little balcony. The front desk staff were amazing as well as the valet parking gentleman. We were very surprised with the lovely breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt and freshly baked banana bread which was included. Great location and short walk to the Bell Centre. Had a great sleep on the comfy king sized bed. Thank you Maison Grinder! We will be back!

This hotel is stunning! Beautifully designed in a moody aesthetic. The bed, pillows, and bedding (fluffy duvet) are the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel! Front desk service is great. The neighbourhood vibe is fun with lots of great cafes, bars/restaurants just outside. It's also walkable to many spots, including Bell Centre, Place Ville Marie, etc. The only cons that may not work for everyone are the open concept shower (no privacy) and the entrance has a steep staircase without an elevator.

The room was clean , and had all the necessary amenities . The room on the main floor beside the front desk is very poorly sound proofed , so we were able to hear everyone coming in and out , but helped to have the speaker on in the room . This is a unique, beautifully appointed hotel whose staff is lovely but not available 24 hours, as I learned the hard way when I could not get my key to open the front door after a night out at a concert. Plan accordingly!

This is a great boutique option for those looking for a more authentic Montreal experience. Griffintown has a lot of great cafes and restaurants, all a very short walk from the hotel. The canal being nearby is also a nice plus. Easy to walk downtown and to the metro. The hotel itself has cozy, curated atmosphere from the lobby to the rooms. The rooftop patio is also a nice plus.

Had to fight for breakfast on the 26th, I wasn’t happy about that… no one was at the front desk and we ended up getting it late only after I had gone to Makro to complain. We also got locked out of our room due to mechanical failure, but the staff did their best to save the day and also gave us a complimentary dinner which we enjoyed. It made up for the stress we faced and we are grateful. Overall after the initial issues were resolved, we enjoyed our stay, and we understand Christmas season is a bit tough to handle. Great decor, smells amazing and nice location.

The room was nice, a little oddly set up. There however was notary much room to put suitcases or hang clothing, no hooks, only three extra hangers and one luggage stand. For two people in the winter this can make things difficult. Everything was clean and very well decorated. Breakfast was okay, not continental but good, front desk staff should inform about any beverages or describe breakfast experience a bit more. The other issue was valet, very confusing, from the beginning of where to drop off the car, then getting it, then getting the wrong car. They also offer complimentary valet for restaurant guests but not for hotel guests? And one last issue was that the TV in our room was very glitchy and something we did not want to deal with or change rooms after a long day being out and about. Staff was friendly, room was clean.

The hotel was very well kept and great for couples. Staff were helpful overall. There is no staff past 11 so if you have any issues I was not given a number to call (thankfully there was no issues). The valet didn’t really help with our bags as much as I hoped. Typical valet will help handle all bags to be delivered to your room, or something but that wasn’t the case. There is a large flight of stairs and no elevator so that contributed to the bag issue and not having a cart to wheel anything anywhere as per usual hotels. The upstairs patio bar also only opens at 4pm and we woke up wanting some mimosas. Overall it’s a well kept hotel, great location, good for couples. However the valet is really expensive for what it was, and the amenities are nothing crazy. If you’re looking for a nice place to stay and bare amenities, I’d definitely recommend.
