In the heart of the Carmel’s main shopping area, the Talley Ho Inn is geographically desirable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms have views of the ocean and beach that are hard to beat. Quiet surroundings, big comfy bed, with sizable shower too. Personal patio is a nice touch, as well as, private parking which is on point and takes the frustration out of having to find a spot near the busy area. Room interior could stand an upgrade. Some updated furniture, an espresso machine, a microwave and new bar fridge would go a long way towards a 5 star experience. And this is only reason I’m giving the Talley Ho 4 stars.

Beautiful and spacious 2 bedroom and 2 bath unit with a fireplace! Loved the quaint furnishings and traditional furniture. There is a nice little courtyard with an outdoor fireplace that had a fire going the whole time we were there. Check in was a little confusing as you had to cross the street and walk through a restaurant to check in at the Pine Inn (they did not want you to enter the hotel through the lobby during the day which was a little strange). Staff were very friendly though.

Place is very nice and clean. Location is great. Little things like no instructions for connecting to the internet were provided. No in-room coffee maker was particularly annoying for early mornings or late evening tea/coffee. There was coffee available at the front desk from 7-5 but was not able to take advantage as we were touring during these times. Otherwise, pretty nice place for the money
