We had a 2 night stay, decent room. Floors were not cleaned nor bathroom tub. However staff was very friendly. Needs some upgrades for sure and a little more detail to cleaning a room. Overall, we had an ok stay.

I have been coming to this hotel since the 90's when it was the Bayshore Inn. This is a lovely old hotel with large rooms, hardwood floors and floor to ceiling windows that let in the natural light. And the hotel is pet friendly and welcomes your fur babies. The hotel manager is exceptionally nice and very accommodating and the housekeeping staff go out of their way to assist with any request. The hotel is right across the street from a whole foods market and the Del Monte Mall making access very convenient. I would recommend thos property to anyone visiting the Monterey area.

Walls were extremely thin and we could hear toilet activity from next room, the people in next room were screaming at their kids, kids were screaming and I realize that is not the hotels problem but walls were soooo thin we should not have heard their conversation to know they were staying another night, the tv and smell their weed. Faucet was very giggly and tub needs a definite makeover. But great location

Staff was very accommodating and suggested areas to see as we were early to check-in. Room was very clean and well stocked. Parking is very easy. Plenty of room. Heater worked fine as it was a little chilly in the evening.

Stay was great. Clean room.. just had an bad odor. Had to purchase a cpl air fresheners. Vending machines where not working Staff was friendly. During our nite stay there was alot of banging.. sounded like someone was moving furniture or construction site all night long. .

Room: First I was given a room that had not been cleaned. The next room smelled damp and you could not open the window. The A/C was old and noisy and the filter probably had never been cleaned. The floor had not been cleaned in a while, walking from my bed to bathroom, my feet were so black, I felt like I had been camping! Pool: was not very clean and uninviting. Hot tub not in service and old/broken tile Parking: The front parking lot had cones blocking spaces and construction crews use the hotel spots to park for the day, when I asked if I could remove the cone to park and could not get a clear answer, I ended finding a free spot. Breakfast: is grab and go made of cheap sugar loaded pastries in plastic wrap. Staff: nice but not very helpful at checkin, lady in morning was more helpful and she mentioned she’d be reporting the cleanliness issues to management. Pet friendly Beds were clean and comfortable, towels were clean and fridge worked well. Hotel location is convenient right by highway and I could not hear the traffic noise. They share a parking lot with 76 gas station, and it’s seems that they have their regular homeless hanging out but they were not bothering anybody. In a pinch ok for a roadtrip stop but definitely would not recommend otherwise.
