Older, historic hotel with great service, a great location, a nice restaurant and is close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Carmel is lovely and is a very walkable. We had a room with a view, free parking and we enjoyed staying here. Hotel has not been updated in a long while and needs updating.

The location is perfect - walkable to everything and just a couple of blocks from the beach. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had an ocean view room, which we loved listening to the waves at night with the window open. I only wish there was a coffee maker in the room rather than having to go out to the bakery downstairs to get coffee.

Two down falls…no elevator…stairs fairly steep…too much for anyone with knee problems…and terrible parking…first come first serve…had to drive around for 30 minutes until a spot came available…nostalgic setting…antique furniture…super nice, comfortable bed…beautiful lobby…very inviting with a fireplace…excellent Italian restaurant connected to the hotel…Andy, the manager, was wonderful…very personable…delicious entrees and fabulous desserts!!

The Pine Inn is an older hotel. Great location to everything! The furnishings are dated but that is what makes the hotel so unique. Rooms/hotels are very clean with beautiful grounds that are so well kept. Amenities - it would have been nice if they had coffee for the guests. We had a very nice ocean view but note the street below can be very noisy at 6 am in the morning. There are no fans or air conditioning so we had the windows opened a lot. The restaurant at the hotel has a great happy hour and wonderful, friendly bartenders. We would stay again at the hotel for the location.

Great location.No elevator, so carrying bags up flights is not pleasant. Nice sized parking lot. Did hear some early morning noise coming from windows. No mini frig or microwave. Pay for the beach view rooms. They are roomier. Did not get a chance to try out restaurant.

Beautiful rooms & located right in the downtown area with all the shopping & restaurants! My only complaint was the wi-fi signal in my room (room #1, entrance in the courtyard near the back door to Il Fornaio) was EXTREMELY weak and unusable. I ended up having to just run on my data plan while staying there. It seems like the hotel could install a signal booster to make sure all their rooms get a decent wi-fi signal.

Nice hotel close to shops and beach. They have their own parking lot which is a plus. Staff were fabulous. Rooms are nice, clean. Connected to Il Fornaio restaurant which is convenient. Food was good, restaurant staff also great. Advertised breakfast starts at 730 but didn’t open until almost 8. Wish the property offered complimentary coffee in lobby available before 730a. No fridge in room, no coffee machine in room, really no amenities. Heat in room is via radiator, loud at times if turned up. Would stay again.
