The room was very large and clean. The property was well kept and convenient. The flower boxes were beautiful. The owner gave us all kind of tips for things to do and restaurants. We would definitely stay again.

The staff greeted me right away and were very kind and helpful. The site was clean and the bedroom was fresh. This was a very pleasant stay and I would come back to the Pelican Inn. It is a short drive to the beach and Cannery Row (maybe 5 minutes through the cute downtown area).

My room was big, spacious, clean and amenities were all there…only drawbacks are weak wifi at certain times and upstairs guests sounded like a family of sumo wrestlers.

Great motel for a great price! Very clean and near the main area of Monterey. I would definitely stay here again. If you stay here, I recommend staying on the top floor if you can because the ceiling is thin and I could hear the neighbors above when I stayed on the bottom floor.

My only complaint is that the bathroom sink was clogged and wouldn’t drain. It would immediately back up as soon as you turned on the water. Other than that, the place was perfect for what I needed it for. It was close to everything, comfortable, affordable, and safe (as a female traveling alone). I was hoping to check in a little bit early, but that costs $45, so decided against it. It’s nice to know it’s an option, though. I would stay there again.

the price was good. parking was very convenient and adequate for all guests. the manager was happy to accommodate our needs. quiet neighborhood. housekeeping was good. we were on the lower level, and not bothered by upstairs neighbors...mostly. early every evening there was one loud thump-we agreed someone must have dropped a large coconut-then quiet again. we walked the neighborhood in the evening and found it charming and well cared for.

Parking lot is a little small and when I arrived in the middle of the night the lot was full. Next day there was no problem parking. The room was CLEAN, bedding smelled nice and freshly washed, and I easily fell asleep. They accommodated my middle of the night arrival which I was so thankful for since I didn’t arrive till 4:00am and was EXHAUSTED from driving all night, and there is no staff to check you in. But since I was staying multiple nights they were able to find a solution. Very thankful and would DEFINITELY recommend this motel.

Cute little rooms, good mattress, nice bedding, well maintained with pretty flowerboxes out front. Nothing fancy, but the owner clearly cares about the place and takes care of it. He's a chatty guy, but really helpful and friendly. We liked it!

Pelican Inn’s room are very clean and the bed is very comfortable. It would be nice to have an extra chair or love seat to be able to relax in. Parking is tight but doable. Staff is extremely nice and helpful. Good location, close to fisherman wharf.

The rooms were extremely clean and staff were very helpful. The only issue is that the walls are a bit thin and there is some road traffic nearby but other than that it was a lovely stay. I would just recommend maybe bringing some of those soft earplugs to help you sleep. You can’t beat the price though for this area.

Great location but other similar places we’ve stayed in the area had much better amenities (coffee maker in the room, conditioner in addition to shampoo). Not sure that we would come back and will likely stick to other motels of the same level we’ve tried in the past. Staff were nice enough.
