We stayed at the lodge for 3 days with 3 teens. We had a LOVELY time, and that is saying a lot! The rooms were spacious, and every day, they delivered firewood and started for the fireplace at no charge. There is no internet ANYWHERE in Big Sur, but we had great connection at the convention center as well as the lodge. Also, the water pressure was great and we always had hot water. The staff was top tier. They had great recommendations for

The onsite dinner was nice. Best feature was how quiet it was, and my run the next morning. The trail was as close as one could imagine it, and offered great views.

The lodge is exactly what we wanted. Set back off the main road, in the middle of the redwoods, and that 80s style summer camp vibes. No tv’s or wifi but the fire place and coffee in room gave a feeling of having everything we need. The check in process seemed frustrating for other patrons but staff was pleasant and accommodating. We will go back.

We had a wonderful time at the Big Sur Lodge. Our cabin was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff were friendly, the breakfast at the restaurant at the lodge was tasty and very convenient. Overall it was a great experience.

The location is terrific and what's better than walking to a trailhead from your cabin? The room was spacious. We saw there were larger units with kitchens and this would be ideal for a family. Also ideal for a family is the nice swimming pool. We went there in the evening and sat near the pool. There wasn't anyone there. We didn't bring our swimsuits and it was a little early in the season - not sure it the pool is heated. It was nice atmosphere.
