My stay at The Cardiff Hotel & Spa in Runaway Bay is a true gem. The staff was warm and attentive, making me feel welcome. Rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with reliable amenities. The property was beautiful with some amazing views. We did not go into the pool, but I visited the beach and had a wonderful time in the water. We had breakfast at the well‑kept dining area, and it was so, so delicious; the food was 10/10. Overall, it’s a peaceful retreat with excellent service and great value. Highly recommended. 10/10 Excellent stay! They will surely see me again

The room was nice and breakfast was good. Didn’t use most of the amenities, but I did go to the beach every day I was there. There is supposed to be a shuttle, however it was mostly unavailable. I walked to and from the beach most of my stay which was about 20 mins each way. On one occasion I called for pick up about a hour ahead of time and asked if the driver could pick me up. I was told “I hope so.” The private beach itself is just “okay.” If you’re looking to do any beach activities, this isn’t the hotel for you as they don’t offer any. The bar isn’t really stocked and there’s no bar tender but they do have beer. Overall, I liked the hotel and the unavailability of the beach shuttle was my only complaint.

Great views but Property needs renovation. At night, the dogs, the vehicles, and the goat noises woke me up at 2-7am+. Ants and other insects inside the units, roach was in my cousin's unit. Cat poop was on the stairs near the pool. Breakfast was good but dinner was lacking. The fish was frozen battered pieces. Never expected nor ever received frozen battered fish in JA. Rice n peas was very good. Helpful staff.

Affordable and nice place to be. You get your money's eorth and the staff and trainees are usually friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. However, dining can take longer than usual, especially if it's a la cart service. The Kitchen needs to do better with the time frame for serving meals.

This resort serves as a training facility for students in the hospitality industry and what a fantastic job! The staff was amazing, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure you are comfortable. A hearty Jamaican cuisine is served for breakfast. The pastries are fantastic! Not overly sweet and extremely tasty. The pool is clean and well maintained. However, the rooms are a bit dated and there is no entertainment. If you expect a high-end international experience this may not be your best option, but if you’re interested in experiencing an authentic Jamaican interaction, consider visiting. It’s always heartwarming to know that I am able to contribute to the advancement of the Jamaican community and get such a positive experience in return. A win win situation! In general, it was a good experience and I intend to return.

Loved the vegetable gardens, the friendly staff and our spacious clean room with our very private balcony. Good food and lovely grounds as well as seeing the resident peacock at meals made our stay very special. So happy not to be at one of those 5star all inclusives.
