Our second stay at Villa Genesis was just as wonderful as the first, and we honestly can’t recommend it highly enough. The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean, peaceful, and incredibly welcoming. From the moment you arrive, you feel genuinely cared for. Every member of the team goes above and beyond to make your stay special. A very special thank you to Daniel, who looked after us so wonderfully this year and last year. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine warmth are a big reason why we love coming back. We also had the pleasure of dining at the new restaurant opposite, Regina, and it was absolutely outstanding. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, and our host Marco made the evening unforgettable. He was funny, friendly, attentive, and so easy to chat with—it felt like dining with an old friend while receiving first-class service. Villa Genesis is one of those rare places that combines beautiful accommodation with truly exceptional hospitality. We are already looking forward to returning again. Thank you to everyone for another unforgettable stay!

Villa Genesis is a fine, well appointed property and the staff are helpful and friendly. It is accessible for people with mobility issue. The location isn’t ideal for Menton old town, but there are regular buses there and the free Navette in town, or Uber. There are some restaurants and bars close by too.

Excellent service and check-in. They really made us feel valued and welcome. The room was nice and any service issues were immediately addressed in an adequate manner. I would certainly stay here again. I wish they had a full-service restaurant and room service, that's the only drawback - they did offer breakfast in their restaurant and free coffee and tea, which was great. Lastly, they claimed the pool was heated several times, but it wasn't - it did not make a huge difference though - the pool was amazing and the cleanliness and constant upkeep was a huge plus.

While the building, grounds and staff were fine - the air conditioning was a daily battle. Had to ask daily to make sure that the main setting (which is controlled by the front desk) is set low enough…. but even when it was set right, the room was hot…. Would not expect that from a high end place and an expensive room.

Hotel was beautiful. Staff was amazing. The breakfast was great. Location was perfect we loved Menton. I just have to say we had nothing but problems with our room and the hotel was fully booked. The staff was very kind and did their very best to accommodate. Room 005 at the time of our stay had no a/c so they put in a rolling window unit kind of a/c. Another room issue was the wifi never truly worked consistently. These were minor annoyances to us. And like I said the hotel staff was great and were able to accommodate us considering. Even still I just felt obligated to put these details in a review. No other room seemed to experience these issues. If I were to suggest anything just ask ahead of time if issues in that room are fixed and if not hopefully another will be available. It is a beautiful and very nice property in a great location.

Overpriced hotel. Airco doesn’t work in rooms, as it is managed centrally. Average room temperature of 26 degrees, which is normal according to receptionist. Becarefull not to complain, cause you will end up in big discussions with lots of unfair and unsubstantiated arguments. Regarding the location, it’s quite a hike towards the city center of menton.

Calm, comfortable & friendly 4-star near the sea

Definitely a lovely 4-star (with high quality bed linens, towels, robes, slippers, pristine throughout) and the pool is great - clean, calm and relaxing and thankfully no banging ‘pool’ music. Staff were very helpful and friendly during our 4 night stay and despite there being no kettle in the room were happy to provide tea & coffee free of charge. This hotel is definitely boutique, but doesn’t meet proper 5-star standards because there’s no room service & the bar isn’t actually open in the eves (asked for a G&T at 10.30pm - bar was in darkness, receptionist told me he didn’t do cocktails..!) However, its location right by the seafront and the privacy of the private gated entrance make it a very tranquil place. We slept really well. a/c needs attention- it works but is not reliably cool.

While the location has potential, unfortunately our experience was less relaxing than we had hoped. During our stay, there was ongoing construction work for a new on-site restaurant next to the pool, which significantly disrupted the peace and quiet. Even once completed, the environment will still be quite noisy due to nearby traffic, frequent ambulance sirens, and the overall lack of sound insulation. Our room was located directly next to the reception area, which meant we could hear every conversation throughout the day and night. Additionally, rubbish was regularly taken out right in front of our window during the night, often waking us up - definitely not ideal for anyone seeking rest and relaxation. That said, the lady at reception was very friendly and provided us with excellent recommendations for both local restaurants and beaches, which we truly appreciated. All in all, Villa Genesis may suit travellers who are less sensitive to noise, but for those looking for a peaceful retreat, it might not be the best choice.
