The good: The water park is top tier as far as Sask hotels go. Excellent location. Spacious room, very nice bathroom. The bad: The AC was awful in our room. Barely a breeze coming through the vent. Try sleeping when your room is 23 C. $20/day extra charge for parking I might as well have stayed at the James.

We were very lucky to get a room here since it was during the state fair week. Our room was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. We would totally come back here again, breakfast was good and the pool was great as well. The only thing we were a bit disappointed with was the slides not being open at the pool since we were very excited about that when we found the place and it wasn’t quite cold in our room but we were able to adapt but we would have prefer a cold room.

I would not recommend this hotel. We chose to stay here because it was attached to the mall and had a kiddie pool area. Unfortunately, the hotel has been poorly maintained and feels dirty and unkempt. Our room was damp and our feet were black after walking on the carpet. Although the staff were helpful and friendly, it doesn’t make up for the condition of the hotel. We would not stay here again.

I usually don’t write reviews. But this was worthy of one. The Sleep Inn is in need of major updates and basic maintenance. Needs better cleaning practices. Our room carpet was filthy and sticky. The bathroom shower curtain had visible mold on it. The air conditioner cover completely fell off. Blankets were ripped. Plus other things. Front desk was pleasant. Pool/Game room staff need training on how to look up from their phones. Only two upsides to Sleep Inn is that it is connected to the Dakota Square mall and its buffet breakfast.

The pool/water park area would have been so nice in its hay day. Today it was run down and needed maintenance. The hot tub was huge but the tiles were falling off and rusted. The kiddie area and pool were nice sized. Again, paint chipping, pool needing resurfacing. The slides were out of order for maintenance. The hotel itself was in need of updating and general maintenance. Everything was banged up. The initial room stunk of dog pee and the second room was musty but barable. The shower was new but small. The linens were clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent. Location was in a great shopping area.

We arrived (family of four) to find out that the waterslides have been closed for months. I asked why they were closed and was told by the front desk person that the health department closed them. The pool was still open though. So that was a big disappointment considering we booked these rooms based on having water slides and no mention of them being closed at time of booking. Rooms were clean but had a musty smell to them.

We were not informed when booking that the water slides and pool were closed. One of the main reasons for booking there. We stayed for 4 days and housekeeping never came once to our room! Not once! Unexceptionable!!! The room was clean when we arrived. The beds were comfortable. But service was lousy. I can see not cleaning stay over guests every day but not one time in 4 days?! We had to go get our own towels and empty our own garbage.
