I have decided the Celeste is the only hotel I will stay in when we visit St. Paul. It was beautiful, the staff was superb and the room was delightful. It seems to be a hidden gem. I highly recommend.

This is a unique hotel with lots of charm and conveniently located in downtown St. Paul. The room was basic, but it had everything we needed. The breakfast was a good addition. They even had dairy free milk! Our only issue was that our room was directly below the chapel where breakfast is served, and it sounded like there was an event or something going on right above us late at night. There was a lot of walking and furniture moving until very late. Nevertheless, we would stay there again.

In St Paul for a concert at Grand Casino Arena. Picked this hotel because it is a short walk to the Arena. Parking garage is right behind the property. Light rail also runs by the hotel. The hotel is very unique with the decor. Loved the bar next to the lobby. They had a water refill location by the gym that was out of order, but the bartender was able to refill my water bottle for me. The room was spacious & very clean. Nice walk in shower in the bathroom. Nice options for breakfast too. Would stay here again.

The staff were super friendly and helpful, both at the front desk and the bar. I really enjoyed the building, the decorations lean into its history and make the place feel special. The area around the hotel isn’t the best, so just be careful walking around there. I had a couple people harass me when trying to get to the Metro stop nearby.

Staff were very friendly and helpful! WiFi was great and breakfast was, too. The ground floor room I stayed in had quite a musty smell and the air ran all night no matter how I adjusted the settings. The neighborhood felt a little sketchy in the evening hours. I enjoyed the historic aspects of the building.

The stay overall was great! The hotel is old as it’s a renovated former convent, but the renovation was done tastefully, keeping a lot of the original character. The continental breakfast was delicious. Staff was great, very friendly. Upon check in our room AC was broken and were in a rush headed to dinner, the hostess gave us keys as we were out the door for reservations. When we got back she was gone & we swapped rooms and returned the other keys back to the desk. I asked her name but can’t remember now. Bartender was fun & friendly as well! 10/10 recommend and will stay again!

This is such a great spot and location. I have stayed here about 5 times since the fall. In that time, the small restaurant/bar on the first floor has been a lovely environment, but often lacking a number of items on the menu. Breakfast, on the other hand, is substantial and full - the breakfast is very good.

Unique boutique hotel with eclectic decor drawing upon its history as a nunnery. The bar is it's crown jewel where you will find yourself sitting amongst European travelers, theater goers and touring musicians surrounded by artifacts from early last century. Ms.Keri at the front desk runs a tight ship and will make sure that your stay is comfortable and that you are well taken care of.
