A place to feel at home – warm staff, real sustainability, stunning ocean views
We spent 9 days at the Jaz Elite Aurora and were sad to leave. The hotel transfer (€100, approx. 1 hr 40 min) worked perfectly. Don’t worry if the last stretch looks remote: the hotel is new and the access road isn’t finished yet.
We arrived at 10 am, were welcomed warmly, had breakfast right away and got our room by noon. The open, wall-free common areas with lots of wood feel very Zanzibar, and sustainability is truly lived: no plastic anywhere.
Booking tip: “Ocean View” is the first row, “Sea View” the second/third. Our Ocean View room had an unobstructed sea view, lots of space, a lovely balcony and flawless housekeeping. Nespresso capsules cost extra, tea and water are free.
Breakfast is generous. Highlights: lunch at the Breezer right by the sea and sundowners at the Jetty Bar. Great cocktails, and one bar is open 24/7.
Four pool areas, a separate kids’ water park, table tennis, padel, yoga, aqua gym and a charming, never pushy entertainment team. Spa, gym and dive school on site. The public beach has vendors (stay friendly), but security is everywhere and we always felt safe.
What makes this hotel special is its people: everyone, from service to gardeners, is incredibly warm. A cheerful “Jambo!” starts every day with a smile.
A beautiful hotel with unforgettable sunsets. We’d come back any time!
