The property was perfectly located. It had an elevator and ac. We got the room with the king bed and two twins. The room is perfect for families. The king mattress was very uncomfortable. The room is very noisy meaning walls are very thin and everything creaks. If you want to stay in the Piaza it’s perfect. Make a reservation for II Vapore it’s amazing. It’s this little Italian women that handles the whole front of the house. Pasta is delicious, veal and the trout was out of this world. The ferry is close. If you want some Italian local items go to the supermarket about a five min walk up the street and to the right away from the water.

Location was amazing with the lake in your front yard, gelato, pastries and food everywhere. Boat and scooter rentals very close by. Ferry stop right down the street. Menaggio was ideal for our family vacation.

The best parts of our suite were definitely the air conditioning and the location. It was extremely convenient for accessing the ferry, nearby shopping, restaurants, and everything around the main square. That convenience does come with some noise, since the property is right by the central square where people are eating and drinking until late in the evening. However, we found the outside noise fairly tolerable. What was much more disruptive was the noise from inside the property. Every time another door closed, it sounded and felt as though someone was slamming our own door, the sound was loud enough to shake the room. The walls are also very thin, so noise travels easily between rooms. Another issue was privacy. The windows, including the bathroom window, are covered only with sheer linen curtains. At night, with the lights on inside, they provide very little privacy and make it possible for people outside to see into the room, which was particularly uncomfortable in the bathroom. We also hardly ever saw any staff during our stay. This wasn’t necessarily a problem for us since we didn’t require much assistance, but it is something other guests may want to be aware of if they prefer having staff readily available. Overall, the location and convenience are excellent, and the AC was great, but better soundproofing, quieter doors, and proper window coverings would make a significant difference in the comfort and privacy of the stay.

The Hotel was great. Our room was better than expected. The property is right across the road from the lake and adjacent to the Menaggio Piazza. It is just lovely with a cute restaurant and options all around. Very romantic setting

We had a room with a window that overlooked the plaza with a spectacular view of the mountains and lakes. We loved the location of this hotel with the view but also the convenience for where we wanted to visit in the Lake Como region. We also loved that Menaggio is quieter town making this a great location to stay.

Menaggio is amazing, La Dependance is Perfect.

What a wonderful place this is. Situated in the heart of Menaggio with easy access, easy parking, everything conveniently in walking distance. The room was perfect for two people, and the little balcony with adorable lake views… amazing! Was a perfect location for our Lake Como stay, we took a day pass and hoped off and on ferries and went to Bellagio, Varenna etc. Perfetto!

The hotel is decent and surrounding area has lot of dining and shopping options. The hotel is at the central plaza and the area is quite vibrant. There is a good lake side walk nearby. The issue is with check-in. The hotel's entrance is on the side, which is hard to find. The check-in is done at the nearby hotel/restaurant (Hotel Du Lac), which was not clear while booking. Also, if you need any supplies - towels, soaps, etc., you need to go to Hotel Du Lac. Other than that, rest of the stay is as expected.

The property check in desk was a bit difficult to figure out and no place to stop to get out and find the check in desk (which is in the restaurant under the hotel de luc). Also no privacy blinds in the bathroom (so watch out at night). However, the apartment was awesome!!!! Great views, right in the center of the plaza. It was spacious and clean. Parking was convenient. All very affordable as well. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed for 6 nights. Avoid this hotel, you can find much better options. The staff sells beds not experience or comfortable stay. We were given wrong room with a bunker bad and a double bed with 1 single bed in another room, while I booked a double and 2 separate single beds and added a note that I travel with my sister, child and my mum and none of them will be able to sleep on a second level of the bed due to different reasons including health conditions. When we arrived, we discovered that our room was already given to other people. A very rude guy told that the number of beds in this room correspond to number of people and requested proof of health conditions why we cannot use a bunker bed. He didn’t apologise, he didn’t accept the fact that it caused inconvenience for us. When we were leaving the same guy charged us triple cost of the city taxes, which was reimbursed after an official complaint and wanted to charge us for 9 water bottles that we didn’t drink. I was shocked as before that I stayed in a very basic hotel in Bergamo for just a night and had in my room free water, cookies, tea and coffee in capsules. Additionally, one day we left for a whole day excursion and when we were back late in the evening we found a door left open by the cleaning staff. Nothing was taken but obviously we left documents and all our things in the room, which could have been stolen if we had less luck.
