“The staff were some of the best we have ever met and met our needs perfectly. They ensured we had a room that was suitable and went the extra mile to achieve this so a big thank you. The property is in the process of being updated but this didn't affect our stay except perhaps to see how well it appears to be going and I'm sure when this is finished they will have a hotel to be proud of. They have only owned this hotel for about 6 months and it is obvious they are making huge efforts to update...

“Really comfortable, quiet and clean bedroom, the bathroom was on the small side and not as nice as the rest of the room (still nice enough). The staff were friendly but seemed very busy so they just gave us the key and pointed us in the direction of the outbuiling where our bedroom was located. If you have heavy luggage or struggle with stairs our room would not be for you as there were some very steep stairs.”

“Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Food was excellent. Location is very good. Swimming Pool was excellent. Overall room was very good but could maybe do with improvements in the ensuite bathroom”

“Didn't have a very good experience at the Golf Hotel & was really disappointed for the money paid. Was given a twin room instead of a deluxe double room (which i'd paid more for). Had arranged for an early check-in with hotel for an extra £20 but this had been forgotten about. Tried to make conversation with the member of staff checking me in but got nothing back. Room had a lovely view of the green but curtains were hanging off rail. The bathroom had an awful smell to it & toilet didn't flush...

“Recently refurbished, rooms were clean and fresh and kept the original features of the property. Bathroom was lovely and bath a great size although did miss the option of grabbing a quick shower. Bathroom needs a blind or curtain please otherwise stunning room.”

“We are visiting from Canada . We really enjoyed staying at the property. The host are very nice. The breakfast is excellent. It’s a nice walk to downtown Keswick.”
