Summer at reception was great. Decent breakfast. Nice to have a kitchenette. Older property. Definitely not luxurious, but served our 2 night stay accompdatingly. No TV in the bedroom area was unusual.

The staff was amazing and did what they could with what they had. The building need some upkeep and the air conditioning needs to be fixed for the restaurant, but besides that the stay was very pleasant and the staff went above and beyond to make everyone’s stay the best that it could have been. I would most definitely comeback again to visit.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, but the property is lack of maintenance, far from everything, the beach was completely covered with red algae, the smell was unbearable and it's been like that for over a month, and they didn't bother to mention it in theyr web page for the customers make their own decisions.

The property is beautiful. We picked the wrong time to go as the sargassum was bad and the odor took some getting used to. Use of the kayaks and paddle boards was not possible due to this but that isn’t the fault of the resort. The buildings are a bit run down but the bed was comfy. The kitchen could have been stocked better as far as dishes, pans etc., but we didn’t plan to cook so wasn’t an issue for us. The daily breakfast was great!! Overall, very happy with our stay and would choose to stay here again just at a different time of year.

The front desk attendant Heavyn was outstanding! She was extremely helpful, friendly and informative. We had a late check-in and she made sure to communicate how the process would work and made it all simple and understandable. The room was a great size, had a small kitchen with all the necessities, a small living area bedroom and bathroom. The AC was cold and loved the fact that there were ceiling fans. The bed was too firm for my liking but that's a personal preference. Overall a great stay.

The only 5-star I know at Rainbow Bend, was for the receptionist/helper throughout the resort. Her name is Summer. My husband and I are pretty much laid back, so the positive things I noticed was the beautiful sand around the resort. Our bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, but don't expect the breakfast area to be open exactly at 8:00 am. I guess, Rainbow Bend is on island time, not Eastern time. The lounge chairs on the beach were ok. The ice machine was great and in a good location next to the office. When walking around at night they had motion-sensored lights to go on and off for you. Nice touch. Hot tub looked dirty, pool so-so.

This is an excellet place to stay as a midway point between Key West and Key Largo, around 1 hour either way. The staff was awesome, and the hot tub was a great bonus.
