“The Hotel was fine and the evening meal was excellent the only let down was the fact that the hotel has stopped serving breakfasts and also the windows from my room could do with a good cleaning.”

“Sarah was an excellent host. She shared her restaurant recommendations and local attractions to visit. We were served a delicious breakfast each morning. The location was perfect as it was close to the harbour, beach, shopping, and the train and bus locations. Our stay in Weymouth turned out to be our favourite during our 2 week holiday. I highly recommend the Anchorage.”

“The hotel was really a hostel and did not match up with images on their website. We were expecting to be staying in a country house hotel not a youth hostel. The only facility we had was wifi. The room was clean but very basic with no ability to make ourselves a tea or coffee without walking down two flights of very steep steps to the kitchen which was a health and safety nightmare - no idea why they could not have put a tea/ coffee station on the top floor. There was no television...

“What a beautiful hotel. I stayed in a superior double which was very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of storage space, fluffy towels, plenty of hot water and excellent tea and coffee, biscuits and water. The owners were very friendly and made me feel most welcome. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was delicious. You would never go hungry. The air conditioning was a real bonus, although unfortunately it did drip a little water on the floor. My only other niggles...

“Wonderful period property, all modern conveniences, comfortable beds, luxury bedding, spotlessly clean. Situated just off the high street with secure on site parking, and within walking distance of various eating establishments. Website is easy to use, and informative, covers everything you need to know about the property and local area. Jamie & Gary are fabulous hosts. Highly recommend this establishment.”

“David and Lorna were lovely. Nice warm welcome and explained what was on offer and asked if there was anything that we needed. They were off on a short family break leaving the In Laws to cover Breakfast etc. Incl checking out and settling the bill 'if this had not already been done with David or Lorna before they had left'. Slight Communication breakdown we felt but overall had a fab stay. Reccommeded by us.”

“Geweldig verblijf gehad in deze geweldige Farm House met veel en lange historie in dit huis. De dames hebben wat paarden, ganzen, kippen en een hond in deze leuke Farm House. Prachtige heuvel met bezienswaardige kerk en uitzicht op dit kleine dorpje en omgeving. Let op alleen B&B; voor avondeten restaurant moet je even zoeken.”
