Roxanne was wonderful, checking us in and getting us a room when our original booking wasn’t ready. I love the decor at the Graduate brands, reflecting local campus traditions, and this was no exception. Walkable to State Street with many dining and bar options. Would definitely stay here again!

I had a wonderful time at the Graduate! My room was fantastic--spacious, comfortable, clean, and nicely decorated. I really appreciated the bright, fun decorations throughout the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to State Street and the Memorial Union, and also an easy walk to the Capitol. Great amenities at the hotel including a very cozy lobby, the coffee shop, and the rooftop bar/restaurant. I couldn't have asked for a more comfortable and relaxing stay!

We absolutely LOVE our stays at The Graduate. We used to try and switch up where we stayed just to get some new experiences. Recently we decided that we're done searching because the Graduate has far too much to offer: location, perfect coffee shop and super fun restaurant, the cute asthetic, comfort of rooms and last but certainly the BEST is the staff. Every single time we have stayed there has been something in our plan that would required them to go above and beyond what is expected and they graciously surpass what we've asked. This past time I could have never made our weekend work, much less flow as seamlessly as it did without Roxanne. Truly, she was a four day gift to us that just kept on giving. So grateful for you all. We will see you on our next trip to Madtown...soon!

We had a very enjoyable stay. The front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant. The valet parking attendants were courteous but we did not have to use our car at all during our stay since the location is within walking distance of most places on the UW Campus. The rooms were small but clean and comfortable and had everything that we needed. I loved the decor of the rooms, lobby, and the rooftop bar/ restaurant. We would definitely chose to stay here again!

The Graduate has a great location. The room was spacious. The amenities were first class, as was the staff. My major issue was the wi-fi. My room was on the 6th floor, and I could not get wi-fi in the room. I needed to go down to the lobby, where I was close enough to the router. I remember having had to do this in the early 2000s, but in the last 5 to 8 years or so, the wi-fi has been available in every hotel room I've been in. If the Graduate's system needs to be upgraded, they should do it ASAP.

Disliked: Cleanliness
The staff, especially Roxy, were incredibly friendly, helpful, and engaging, and we really enjoyed speaking with them. The location couldn't be more perfect, especially if you’re down there with a potential UW Madison student. The room's cleanliness left a lot to be desired, especially the bathroom. The beds were comfortable, and the hotel's theming, including the room, was cute. The rooftop bar is really fun and has a great view of the Capitol. Be aware that there is a substantial number of homeless individuals who hang out in the passageway from the hotel to State Street, but that is not the fault of the hotel. Lastly, the valet service was very efficient and had in-and-out privileges.

The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful and the lobby and room was clean. The rooms and bathrooms are very small compared to the other Madison hotels and the gym is pretty much non existent. The other downside is no hotel shuttle. But you can’t beat the location! Cute outside patio too in nice weather.
