We came to Lurray to see fall foliage and explore the caverns but the real star of our stay was this B&B. What an amazing experience! Gregory was the sweetest human and a great coversationalist. There is a lot of love that has gone into maintaining this old house and it shows. They have crafted a wonderfully curated experience from start to finish. We enjoyed hot chocolates by the fire pit, excellent balanced breakfasts, and a very comfortable king bedroom. 10/10!
Had a lovely weekend stay at Mayneview B&B. The space was cozy and beautifully decorated. I was very impressed by the cleanliness and the great hospitality of inn keeper Gregory. I’d highly recommend a stay here if you’re visiting the area.
Comfortable well-run inn with well equipped rooms and common areas, and a fine breakfast. Staff are friendly and attentive. Bed was little bit on the soft sink-into side.
Great Staff, everyone very personable and hospitality minded. Very interested in ensuring we were comfortable. Great conversations with the hotel team and other guests. A great breakfast.
The property was beautiful and full of history. Very clean, safe, and provides a home like feel. Gregory’s service he provides as your host is unmatched. They also provide the best breakfast you’ll get in the area, complimentary to your stay. Highly recommended if you’re planning your trip to Luray!
We stayed at Maynview for a quick weekend getaway. It’s a lovely property with gorgeous views of the mountains and town. We stayed in the loft suite which is beautifully appointed. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with tips on trails to check out. We will definitely be back!
Mayneview B&B was exactly where I needed to be for this trip. After an amazing custom cooked vegetarian breakfast, I zipped over to hike in Shenandoah National Park, then back to relax in the hottub. Everything was top of the line, friendly, cozy, inviting, relaxing, and exactly what I needed. Highly recommend!
Charming & peaceful B&B with friendly hosts & delicious breakfast! Very comfortable bed & linens. The hot tub & fire pit are an added bonus. I could never get tired of the views. Downtown Luray is within walking distance & the National Park is a beautiful 15 minute drive. You won’t be disappointed!
The B&B itself is lovely—clean, cozy, and full of charm, may be dated and not super luxurious, but what made our stay unforgettable was the incredible hospitality of the manager, Gregory. He’s not just a great host—he’s an excellent human being. Warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, he treated us more like a guest in his home than a customer. Whether it was offering local tips, helping with directions, or just taking a moment to chat, Gregory’s presence added a personal touch that made all the difference.
We had a wonderful, peaceful weekend filled with great food and picturesque views. Bryce was extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding area and levels of intensity of the hikes and activities nearby. I highly recommend this quaint B&B for a solo or couples retreat for relaxation or an adventure of a lifetime!!! Thank you for the opportunity to enjoy the Luray area. I will be back.
Mayneview BnB is a must stay. I proposed to my now fiance and spent two nights in their wonderful home. Greg and Brice were amazing. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable and our stay special. Also, the breakfast they make is something to look forward to. We will definitely be coming back at some point.
Thank you!
The Inn was warm and inviting. Our hostess, Gail was filling the air with the smell of cookies baking to greet guests as they entered the front door. The three course breakfast was over the top! Our fellow guests were enjoying tales of the activities we each had planned or already enjoyed.Gail was on hand to answer any questions about the Inn or the area. We loved the friendliness of all we encounteted!
My wife and have been traveling and always staying hotels for years….. when we left Mayneview B&B I told my wife you have seen your last hotel…
The staff was amazing!!!!and the food was fantastic…..and yes very clean…. Mr Gregory built a camp fire for us every night….can’t wait to go back😁
The location of the property is absolutely perfect with incredible views, easy access to the National Park, a cute old house, and ample parking. Unfortunately that's where the good ends the beds in the room were extremely uncomfortable especially for those with back issues. The doors to the room are also poorly fitting and you can hear other guests full conversations and activities from the hallway, which could easily be fixed with some $5 weather stripping. What really killed it for us was the breakfast, which is a point of pride for the property. My Girlfriend has a few dietary restrictions due to a medical issue, as requested we notified the staff well in advance, and initially we appreciated the staffs efforts to accommodate her needs. Unfortunately the execution of the accomodation was extremely poor. First the staff very publicly announced her need for a different breakfast in front of all of the other guests. Needless to say, this was extremely embarrassing for her. Furthermore, the staff then proceeded to serve her last heightening the embarassment and served her a bowl of tomato soup, for breakfast. Given the huge range of other options available for breakfast foods being served lukewarm soup at 9 AM is insulting in the extreme and made us both feel incredibly unwelcome and made the other guests visibly uncomfortable. Needless to say we will never stay here again and would advise those with medical conditions and disabilities to also steer clear.
I cannot e press how amazing this place is. It’s beautifully preserved and maintained. The food was UNREAL- seriously the breakfast alone is reason enough to stay.

My stay was okay I was planning g to spend a night but after who check me in told me they don’t accept only one night booking but if he was up to him he would told me no one night so I got very irritated for that comment after spend couple hours ther the tv signal dies so no tv or signal. I think this place is over price for an old house but not coming back there
The property was amazing! The hospitality of Hugh was outstanding... and the breakfast menu was phenomenal 😋 would recommend to anyone looking for a quaint stay. 20 out of 10!!
