Very nice and quiet room we had. Stayed only one night but if I ever go there again, this is my preferred hotel. Excellent buffet breakfast and the old town is just some hundred meters away. Strong recommendation.

Nice staff, free parking and pretty great placement, but thats about where the good stuff ends for me. The pool was tiny and constantly occupied by children, the sauna wasnt even on most mornings, the breakfast was among the absolute most boring, uninspiring and tasteless i’ve tried in any hotel i’ve been to. Definitely not worth the 22 euros. The room was okay. A very mediocre and relatively uinspiring visit unfortunately.

Good location to the old town. Was only about a 5 minute walk. The hotel itself was nothing spectacular but it was quiet. Our balcony was really sticky when we checked in but rinsed it with water and it was fine. A really good feature is the filtered water station, both still and bubbled, that was available for free. Free onsite parking was very limited but they also have paid underground parking onsite

Okay stay, but noise was an issue

Recent stay at Holiday Inn was generally okay, but there were some noticeable drawbacks that impacted the experience. On the positive side, the hotel's location was excellent, being very close to Lübeck's charming Old Town, which made exploring easy. The pool was also a great amenity for the kids, providing a fun way for them to unwind. However, the most significant issue was the sound insulation. Our specific room was also very close to the lifts, which contributed to the problem. Conversations, footsteps, and other activities from adjacent rooms and the hallway could be heard quite easily. This made it difficult to relax and get a good night's sleep. While the stay was not terrible, the noise level was a consistent problem. I would recommend this hotel for short stays or for those less sensitive to noise, but it's definitely something to be aware of.

I don’t normally comment on check-in as it is standard, but the young woman who checked us in was so welcoming. She seemed genuinely interested in the places we had visited on our holiday. She was also helpful in explaining everything about the hotel and its proximity to the old town. I did not take her name but she told us she came from Namibia. The hotel swimming pool is quite small and the changing room floor rather wet, but it made a change after a week of travelling. If you need glasses to read anything, take them with you to the pool as the code numbers on the lockers are tiny. Not for the first time on this holiday, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel restaurant. The new menu featured asparagus. This was cooked beautifully but the quantity was huge! I had salmon and my wife had schnitzel, both of which were good. (In contrast, the following evening we were at another Holiday Inn which had a very boring menu, traditional English pub fare.) We had chosen the hotel because it seemed close to the Old Town. It is. 5 minutes’ walk from the old gate. The room was good, if a little noisy as we were close to the lift and everyone felt the need to say goodnight to their friends loudly.
