Convenient hotel location. The rooms are a bit small but ok. Please put a door to separate the bathroom from the room. It’s extremely uncomfortable and weird to not have one and that can be easily fixed. Other than that, all and all good.

Very clean large room for Lucerne. The bathroom was massive and very clean. The hotel overall almost feels like you are staying at a 5 star hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and about a 5 minute walk to the lake.

Check in staff was so rude to us it was a terrible first impression. Repeatedly staff would walk past you throughout the stay and not acknowledge you at all. No good morning, nothing. At check out, no thank you for staying, safe journey home- nothing. Really poor for paying almost $600 cad a night. Location good. Would not stay here again.

We had an excellent stay at Astoria hotel. The location was perfect, 5 min walking distance to Luzern train station. Bus station right outside. Staff was very helpful, room and entire hotel was very clean. A/C and shower were excellent. Very affordable rate compared to other hotels in the area. 10/10 would stay here again.

Lucerne is filled with charming, beautiful hotels but this is not one of them. It looks like an office building decorated in the 1980s. The rooms are basic and average. They’re fine but no view, no charm, and just average bedding and bath. It caters to tour groups. The breakfast is good but not as good as we’ve seen at other mid range hotels in Switzerland. It’s on the other side of the river from old town so it’s a short 8-15 min walk to the tourist sites. It’s not a bad walk though. We ate at the Thai restaurant on property and the food and service were indeed excellent, but be prepared to spend about 3x the cost of a similar meal in NYC.
