The included breakfast was very good. A buffet of hot food (eggs, beans, hotcakes). Would have appreciated some fresh fruit, though. Papaya, please. The staff was very helpful and we were so glad it's a 24 hour reception desk, as our flight was delayed and we arrived at 1:30 AM!

Hotel Santa Maria is a great budget option for being close to the action but not paying a ton for the privilege. The beach is a 10 minute walk. The brand new Al Comer super market complex is just across the street and has more than you will ever need. There are numerous small restaurants within a three minute walk. The pool is clean spacious and welcoming. Overall a good deal. My only criticism would be that screens on the patio doors would be an improvement and the coffee at the breakfast room needs an upgrade.

We stayed there 1 night prior to a flight the next day ( after a 4 week stay at our timeshare in Cabo del Sol). The hotel was adjacent to a 24/7 highway construction site so it was noisy & dusty. The check in staff were friendly. The room supplies were minimalist barebones. The bed nonetheless was very comfortable.
