Room 16 along with other rooms facing Hollywood Blvd had to endure VERY LOUD bass music all afternoon and evening until 10:30 or so. Hard to rest or get to sleep before 10:30, maybe later on weekend nights.

Me hospedé 2 días y tengo que destacar su ubicación inmejorable. Si quieres aprovechar Hollywood Blvd y las atracciones principales de la zona, no podrías estar en un lugar mejor. Además, queda a unos pasos de la estación de metro, lo que facilita mucho moverse por la ciudad. También es muy conveniente si prefieres llegar en bus — toma las líneas 117 y después 212 y llegas. Instalaciones limpias y cómodas Los cuartos son ordenados y bien mantenidos. Las camas son cómodas y descansan muy bien. Lo único que me habría gustado es que el baño de hombres estuviera mejor cuidado — aunque nada grave, podría mejorar un poco en ese aspecto. Recomendación En general, una muy buena experiencia. Es un alojamiento sólido si buscas una buena ubicación en Hollywood a un precio razonable. Definitivamente lo recomendaría a otros viajeros

Solo travelled as a young woman and was here for the duration of my stay. I booked the women-only room. If you are worried about safety/security, this place was a great option! Felt they had good security, and I was very comfortable in the women-only rooms, plus they have a women-only bathroom as well which was great! Now don’t expect anything too fancy, at the end of the day it’s still a hostel, but if you’re looking to save some money but still want to feel safe, this hostel is definitely a good option!

Perfect location for walking and attractions, terrible location for noise and sleeping. Very loud. Asked to be moved around 2 -2:30am, but they were booked so no where quieter to move to. Roommate kept light on even though asleep and fan did not work, important when there is no air conditioning. Breakfast was excellent.

Downtown LAに比べたらHollywoodの方が遥かに治安がよく、Hollywood\Highland Stationが目の前なので移動がコスパよく色んな地域に足を伸ばせる。 ただ、電車は治安が悪い事も多々あるので油断は禁物です。 Samesun Hostelは日夜問わず廊下、共有施設の清掃、消毒が丁寧に管理してくださっているのと、お願い事があれば心よく聞いてくださる良いスタッフさん達です♪ ただ、ホテルの設備としては各部屋にはシャワートイレがないのでルームキーを保持した上で一旦部屋を出て利用しなければならないのが泊まる部屋によってやや面倒なぐらい

Area was nice and clean just had an issue with staff when I needed help finding my stuff. Because I told them I put it the wrong locker they never explained or told me they put my stuff in the correct locker. And I was worried my stuff got stolen or tossed away.

Like: -They do have a kitchen with utensils and dishes, sink and stove -Bending machine with simple snacks like soda, chips and candy, all $2-5 each. -There is enough clean space to change, shower, and get ready in the bathroom -It is about $40-$43/night -It’s literally on top of the Hollywood Walk of Fame -Ovation Mall is nearby with all the stores you may need. -The Metro Station is right there. Dislike: -The free breakfast was just a bagel and tea -There’s no elevator, just stairs -It’s your responsibility to rebook your same bed, or they will wake you up and tell you to move -They ask you to take off your sheets and blankets from the bed while you’re already packed with your heavy bags down the stairs and leaving to checkout. -There's no decor, really -They close the kitchen from 10am-11:00am in the morning, during breakfast hours

The hostel was nothing like it was shown in the photos. It was also super loud and dirty. I did not feel comfortable or safe at all. I booked a different hotel immediately and took a loss. I feel like I was misguided by Expedia. Especially since I chose the option to have 2 beds, and instead they assigned me to a room with 8 beds--not what I paid for.

I stayed at samesun for one week and it was a great experience! You are a few steps away from the walk of fame and the metro station. Unbeatable location. Hostel staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Amenities such as the kitchen, lounge, and free water were very helpful. All in all a great experience, definitely would recommend or stay again.

This is a really well run hostel in a great location. Of course the strip is a crazy place to stay but as long as you keep your wits about you, you will be fine. I shared a 4 bed room . The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. They have privacy curtains which I love . There is free breakfast. The communal areas are really nice . Love this place

Great experience with staff and spacious in the common areas (i.e. kitchen, lounge, bathrooms). The rooms were a little hot inside, but I was on the top floor and it's summer time so understandable. Was not hot to the point where it was unbearable, but still a little uncomfortable when the room is full. Overall still amazing experience for the price and location right off Walk of Fame.

Very well appointed room with lamp, desk, mirrors and large closet room. Hotel quality room with shared bath. Shared bath is well thought out with dry changing rooms separate from the shower. Frequent cleaning. Great location. In the thick of things on Hollywood blvd (not the best place to stay, but this hostel location is great and building quality makes it a quiet and great stay. Good healthy breakfast provided. The security practices are good. Rules clearly stated in rooms and common area. Appreciate that the staff offered help on booking and booking extra night is easy with the QR code stickers next to the bed.

This Hostel was clean, easy check in process, helpful staff and nice common areas. There is cold and hot water available and the free breakfast is nice; oranges, oatmeal and toast/bagels. The location is perfect in the heart of Hollywood and all the action. I recommend this place and will definitely book again in the future.
