Location was the reason I picked this property. Close to our friends in Malibu and beach. Property is in poor condition, pool unusuable. no housekeeping the entire time we were there. Cracked mirror in bathroom. Room was ok, shower was ok, bed ok. But old, dated, and grounds are not maintained. Smelled like sewer run off. We picked it to be close to our friends and beach so location was good. The property itself is dirty, old towels at the pool dor days, we left dirty towels outside our door and expected housekeeping and there was none all 4 days. Pool unusuable so false advertising, Deck fake turf was smelly, soggy and deck furniture covered in bird pooped. Wont stay here again. was great, walked to Zuma Beach also a plus. But the grounds, are dirty, unke

This was the 5th time staying here & it is a boutique motel. The location is definitely the best part. But this time, the bathroom was literally gross, baseboards & door were so grungy & in need of paint, dirty towels left for 2 days out by dirty pool (our patio view!), limited coffee supplies, including no stir sticks & smoke alarm wasn’t even on the wall! The worst part was that the front desk staff did NOT care! When checking out, he did not say: “goodbye, thank you, how was everything“! He literally said nothing! It was extremely unprofessional & we were certainly not made to feel like coming back or special! People CAN make a difference! We were so disappointed in the treatment this time! We had always looked forward to staying in this quaint little place with walking access to the ocean in minutes but will 2nd guess where to stay next time mostly due to staff & cleanliness! 😕

This part of Malibu (Zuma beach), is this place to be if you’re looking for a LA getaway. The inn had everything we needed; ocean view, outdoor space, king bed. My only complaint would be the cleanliness of the place. Rooms definitely need a paint job and windows need to be cleaned. Bathroom is well kept but still it all got the job done. Would highly recommend if looking to stay outside of trendy Malibu (nobu area) and looking for something more scenic and secluded. Point dume hike is a must (unreal views). Also, would highly recommend a trip up to matador state park beach!
