“The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. “I love old fashioned, traditional pubs & inns, and this was perfect. Wooden beams, creaky floors, etc. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The meals were of high quality & decently priced, too, the breakfast exceptional! Plenty of parking available. I will definitely visit there again.”

“The Lion Hotel is a historyful place, very confortable and with a very responsive staff. ”

“Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is excellent.”

“A wonderful hotel, everything was super nice, the room, (given a upgrade), the food outstanding, and the friendliest you could have ever meet. Definitely will book when next in the area.”

“It was an ok visit but we wouldn't go back - just wasn't an inviting experience - and no dinner served on Monday meant we had to go out”

“For us, just a one-night stay, but we arrived about 4pm on a Sunday afternoon, to find this is an extremely popular venue for Sunday lunches. The menu continued into the evening and we were able to see why it's so popular. A great meal, and then a lovely cooked breakfast the next morning. The room, facilities and bed were all comfortable and all in all, we had made a good choice in a quiet rural location.”

“Norma was absolutely wonderful, helpful and efficient. The accommodation was clean and tidy, shower was great. Breakfast was well varied and tasty. Evening meal was excellent. Bar and staff were good. Will be visiting again 😊”

“Door was already unlocked when we arrived 28th Oct even though key was in secure unit which seemed a bit strange considering the place is shut on a Wednesday. Main light didn't work only table lamp.”

“Lovely, large, well-appointed, pet-friendly double room in a Beautiful pub at the heart of a quiet village with great links to Bridgnorth, Breakfast was superb: no menu, you just got asked what you wanted! The restaurant is a hidden marvel”

“Scenic riverside location. Pleasant and spacious room.”

“Very good in general. Very clean and comfortable.”
