Enjoyed the old world charm of the building and rooms but the room was much smaller than expected and it was very difficult to move around the room with luggage for 3 people. The hotel shower head was mounted too close to the wall and it was in a fixed position so it was difficult to angle under it to get full exposure to water spray for good shower cleaning experience.

The hotel is situated at a convenient part of West London and looks grand on the outside and in. But on closer inspection, needs a little TLC; certainly in our small room. Just before checking out, we found one of the pillows had mould on. The taps on the sink were wobbly and you needed to turn the cold tap pretty hard for not let the water trickle. The paintwork on the outside window ledge badly needed a lick of paint. It's was just crumbling away. Breakfast was good value though but the pale yellow scrambled eggs was a novelty colour as well as the easy to break cooked bangers and hash browns. The reception staff did advised us before hand to take a look at the breakfast before we had paid them if we would like it or not! Now that is a novelty in itself. Not a good selection he stated but it was quite a good selection, actually. Overall it was OK. The reception staff really ought to have pointed out the hotel Wifi when we checked in instead of us going down stairs to ask ourselves.

I enjoyed the hotels area which was very walkable to the tube and dining options. However, we got assigned to the room that was so hot and a bit suffocating tbh. I understand the Air con condition here in the uk but at least we should have some opened air windows which didnt work.

Checking in was confusing as I'd done an online check in the day before but when we got there I had to go through normal check-in Room had everything we needed but bathroom very tiny and for people who are carrying a bit of weight may struggle to manoeuvre around it. Bed was super comfy, so 10 out of 10 for that. Staff very friendly. In the morning then lift was out of service which wasn't great as we were on the 3rd floor and had to walk down several flights of stairs. Anyone with mobility problems would have struggled with this. We liked where the hotel was situated pretty building and lovely reception area. The TV in our twin room was opposite one of the beds so not ideal place for the other person trying to watch from the other bed. Great for a night away but for the price of the tiny twin room it seemed a lot of money so although we loved the area not sure we would stay there again.

Great location close to major hub for underground. Noisey busy street but not a big deal if you don’t have to sleep with window open which we did due to the heat. One fan was supplied. Rooms were small. No flat surface to lay anything on. Kitchenette was a floating shelf 6” wide with an electric kettle and mugs. Bathroom was horrible. Stand up shower was small and 2x2 feet of floor space to function. But worst part was sink had 2 facets one for hot one for cold that were push activated. U had to hold down each to use before it ran out with just enough pressure to not make to too forceful as to splash outside the tiny sink. Cold started warm turned hot then cold. No surface in bathroom to lay items and barley room to turn around. A lot can be overlooked but this facet situation is ridiculous. Not even to be able to turn it on to brush your teeth is unreal. Holding facet with one hand and trying to wince with the other or washing one hand then the other Loved the location and hotel was fine but amenities were lacking. Definitely needs upgrading

Good value for the money! The location is truly fantastic: less than a 10-minute walk from Paddington Station (Tube, Elizabeth line, buses), making it super convenient to get anywhere. Despite being so central, the hotel's street is residential and very quiet, which is a big plus. The staff were exceptional, super kind and helpful. We'd requested an accessible room for my parents, who have mobility impairments. A maintenance worker proactively noticed our assigned room wasn't suitable and alerted reception. Staff immediately gave us another appropriate room, apologizing for the mistake. We truly appreciated their proactiveness! They also have a free luggage room, which was very handy, even if it's not supervised. As for the structure, it's a bit dated: corridors are narrow, the wooden floors under the carpet creaked quite a bit, rooms use manual keys (returned to reception when leaving), and the sinks were visibly old. However, the room was perfectly clean, and so were all other hotel areas we saw. One thing we noticed was the room was inexplicably very warm, even with the window open, it stayed significantly warmer than the mild outside temperature. There was no air conditioning, just a fan that helped very little. From the window, we heard a constant, audible noise, probably from the air circulation pipes. It was noticeable, but being constant, it eventually became a kind of white noise that didn't disturb our sleep at all. Ultimately, we were satisfied.

Arrived at the hotel to be told that my booking had not gone through to them despite my booking confirmation. Had to downgrade on a busy weekend in London to a small double room which had a broken toilet flush, carpet up and a view of a balcony piled with rubbish. No bar facilities and a very poor 'hot' breakfast offering consisting of 2 types of sausage, tasteless scrambled egg and baked beans. The guy on reception was abrupt and more interested in speaking to his friend. Terribly disappointed as this was a special treat for my sister.

Hotel located in ideal spot. Lots of shopping, food and the underground stations nearby. Easy access to the rest of the city. Staff was friendly. The warm breakfast was good, lots of choices for sweet/savoury or hot/cold. Internet access was atrocious. Did not seem to matter time of day or night, internet was incredible spotty. Not in a “I can’t watch a YouTube video” way, but in a “Google Maps won’t even load” kinda why. I ended using my personal data and had to purchase extra data while staying here.
