Did what it was meant to do and was a good base before early flight in the morning. Bed was comfy The bar and restaurant was the best think about this place and was a credit to the hotel. The bathrooms were the disappointment of the water, there in need of an update, showers are slow, mould in the corners of the bathtub, taps, sink holes and finishings have all seen better days

Great location just 2 bus stops from T5 with the bus stop next to the hotel (bus number 423). Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are ideal for an airport "layover" and are clean and comfortable. The hotel has a good bar, great breakfast and evening meals with viewing directly onto the airport runway with great closeup views of aircraft arrivals and departures. If there was one downside it would be the poor shower water pressure which was manageable but is low. I always stay at the Thistle when passing through London and this visit didn't disappoint.

Upon arrival the exterior of the hotel looks rather dated and unimpressive! Once inside that immediately changes as the whole place looks to have been renovated and improved. The room was basic but very clean and everything needed for our overnight stay was included. We had both evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant and the food was excellent, continental breakfast was exceptionally good and the staff very pleasant. Overall a great hotel stay for the price 👍👍👍

Overall a really good place to stay for the price and incredibly close to terminal 5. It’s not ‘pretty’ but functional with friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms and a good breakfast. My only negative was the shower - hard to control temperature and pretty weak.

The staff were very polite and helpful. The thing I didn’t like was that the cafe closed post breakfast and I was unable to get a coffee or continental breakfast after that and had to eat at the airport instead. The price was very reasonable. The hotel was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable but the room itself could use an upgrade as to decor as it was very outdated.

A good place to stay when using Terminal 5 at Heathrow. Comfortable rooms, a good bar and restaurant and good staff. If you book a park and stay option, there is also direct access to the POD transfer to take you to Terminal 5.
