Located near a main station, it was very convenient for travel and daily activities including shopping and dining. Rooms were kept clean, and the staff were kind. Every day two complementary bottles of water. This hotel does not have an elevator, but, it seems common in the neighborhood at the price. I think they said they have porter service.

Excellent location with Paddington Station one block away. Shops nearby for water and snacks. Clean rooms. Small bathrooms, but that’s Europe for you. Would definitely stay here again.

Close to a main station, transportation was very convenient. Hyde Park is close, so we could have a nice walk around. Since there were many decent international restaurants, pubs, and stores, we could easily find what we want. No elevators, but they have porter system between 8 am and 5 pm. If you can check in and check out during the time, no problem. Complementary two bottles of water. Free luggage storage before and after check-in. My receptionist Subash was especially very kind and caring. I appreciate his kindness very much.

Nice place just to rest. Since you’re close to the train station it’s nice not having to walk far but the downside is we stayed on the first floor so it became hard to sleep through the trains at night. Rooms are small but are just enough for two people, staff are nice and checked us in early. I booked for the deluxe room but I got the lower level deluxe room, I only noticed that because I was expecting to be on the second level by a window which was advertised for the deluxe room but we didn’t necessarily get what we paid for. Lots of food options nearby and small convenience stores.

The Norfolk is really convenient to Paddington Station. The nearness makes travelling around London super easy. The surrounding area is busy but safe. Inside the hotel is clean. Staff were always on site and helpful. I would stay here again.

The staff was so kind and friendly and helpful , very accommodating with quite literally everything . We stayed during a heatwave and the air conditioning was an absolute lifesaver. The beds were comfy , the tv had Netflix and everything like that it was so lovely !

The hotel is clean but outdated. The lobby is so poorly lit it looks like a horror movie set. You may need a flashlight to check in. Our room was four floors up via narrow twisting stairs. I worried about negotiating these stairs in case of fire. Only one light bulb in the room’s central light fixture worked, so the actual room was also dim. The bathroom was private and fully equipped, but is the smallest bathroom I have ever seen other than in a camping trailer. The location is very good, close to the train station, restaurants, Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Nicer accommodations are available nearby.

We were on the fourth floor but it has double flights of stairs and there were a lot! Wasn’t a problem for us but if you’d struggle make sure you request a lower floor. Booked a cozy double and it was cozy but has everything we needed. Bathroom again was cozy but was clean. View out the window was the trees in the park opposite. Aircon was brilliant

Having to pay £100 (holding fee) is not needed. Only hotel I’ve stayed at that does this. Not a fan of this method. Staff very friendly & would recommend. Great location as well. Fairly comfortable although you can hear what’s going on in the adjacent rooms.

The hotel room was very clean and cutely decorated. However, the room was extremely small and almost nonexistent space to put anything. The bathroom was also extremely small with no shelves. We also had been unaware that there were no lifts and we replaced on the third floor.. Thankfully, the hotel staff was kind enough to carry our suitcases up for us. Some members of the staff were friendly and very helpful, others not so much. If you’re just needing a quiet clean place to sleep and a tiny bathroom and shower is not an issue, this was a good place for the value. We were also very pleased that the air-conditioning worked well as we were there during a very hot time.

Good price compared with other hotels in central London and very close to all the transport links around Paddington station. Lovely reception staff. Room was great, comfy bed and crisp linen. Bathroom very small - everything you need and a good shower but it wouldn't suit a larger person. Door would benefit from more soundproofing - I could hear guests in the rooms opposite talking, but maybe I was unlucky and they were being particularly loud.

On the plus, the room was immaculately clean, everything looked very new, and the bed was very comfy. I found the man on reception unwelcoming, and I am never impressed when a hotel reception says your room number out loud when you are a woman travelling solo. Need a company policy and training on this. It’s an old property, so no lifts (I was on the 4th floor but thankfully only an overnight bag). It is single glazed windows so a bit noisy, and not great sound proofing between rooms.

The hotel is across the street from Paddington Station. I thought it would be noisy but we never even heard our room neighbors once they entered their own rooms. We were also there during the hottest days on record but slept well due to the in-room air conditioning unit keeping us cool. The one downside is that the room was tight with very little storage (no dresser, only one small shelf with a teapot and glasses). I had to take clothes out of my suitcase, stand my suitcase up, and put my clothes on top of the standing suitcase just to sidle sideways by the bed. The bathroom was also tight quarters. Adding extra shelves in both the room and bathroom would help quite a bit. Aside from needing a little more storage, it was an excellent place to stay. Quiet, cool when we needed it, close by a major transportation hub, with very responsive staff. We recommend it for travelers who want to save a little money without compromising on a quality stay.

The property is close to paddington station — hence you hear the trains rumbling until about midnight and then resume around 6. The room was on the 4th floor with no elevator and narrower steps as continued up. Luckily, a ‘porter’ brought my bag up for me — he was winded. The room was adequate — not sure how 2 people with larger luggage bags would have managed as it definitely was cozy. The bathroom shower was excellent. Would have been nice to have an under sink surface to store the towels or toilet paper rather than the window sill. Same with would have been nice to have a luggage rack under the teapot area or make the bed higher and able to slide the bags underneath? Overall, convenient to paddington station but there are many options nearby.

To reach the reception desk, you have to climb a steep flight of stairs. Once you’re checked in, there is no elevator to your room. In the room, the bathroom is too narrow for someone using a walker or wheelchair to navigate.
