I wouldn’t stay here again unless I absolutely had to. The front desk people were amazing. But there were dirty dishes left on the floor in the hallway and the food wasn’t very good at the restaurant, but the waiters at the restaurant were excellent.

I would have rated this higher but when we checked in and were assigned our room, we discovered that it was occupied. When we brought this to the attention of the receptionist, she quickly assigned us a new room and comped us with access to the executive lounge which included an evening happy hour and a morning breakfast.

Staff all great and the food was also very nice in the restaurant. The hotel was clean. Downsides were that the hotel seemed to have a lot of moths in, to the point where I think pest control is needed. And the bed was rock solid and really uncomfortable. Everything else was fine.

I continue to use this hotel regularly because of its proximity and transport links to the terminals, its superb breakfast and its excellent bedrooms and bathrooms. I find the shower unit most advantageous given the powerful shower mechanism. The staff are always friendly.

The only minor criticism I have is that the bathroom was very small and there’s not a walk-in shower so you have to step into the bathtub to shower - come on Renaissance this isn’t the Middle Ages!

Great location, very close to T2 at LHR. This is the most soundproof hotel we have ever been in. We sat in the restaurant, and could see the planes taking off, literally just a few hundred meters away and could not hear a sound from the jet engines at full thrust. Quite remarkable.
