Great location in walking distance to the Tate Modern, Globe theater, National Theater and great restaurants near by. About 7 minute walk to the Southwark subway station too. Very helpful, friendly staff as well and great rooms with AC which was helpful for the heatwave we experienced while there!

The staff are great. The rooms are update and nice but the halls are outdated need refreshing. Location is perfect for walking to borough market and all the sites like. London tower , Big Ben , the board walk at night was vibrant.

Clean enough. Never had much to do with the staff but the man who stored our bags for us was kind. Breakfast was fine no complaints there. Location was good. Property could use a bit of work. Outdated a bit i think. It was also odd there was no front desk and you just talked to someone at the bar. I think a front desk is very useful. For a cheap short stay it's perfectly fine.

Pros: - The staff were LOVELY. All of them - Location was good (super close to Tate and Globe Theatre), about a 5 min walk to a Tube station - rooms were much more spacious than I was expecting for a big city - the rooms were pretty quiet Cons: - the cleaning needs to be a bit better. Our floors seemed like they weren’t vacuumed well and the room smelled like cigarette. The bathtub also needed to be recaulked (mold on the caulking) - we had minimal towels for a family room - my daughters bed was very hard I think I would stay here again given the price.

The staff was very helpful and the room was quite spacious, much less for London. The Tate Modern is two blocks away. Train/subway stations for multiple lines and to Gatwick were within walking distance.

Our stay at the hotel was excellent! All the staff were extremely helpful and attentive! The hotel is very well located, really close to all the main tourist attractions! I fully recommend it and will return when I go back to London.

Started off with only one bath towel for two people. Was given an attitude about asking for more towels on day 2. Wifi was not working the entire time of our 6 night stay. Asked for the room to be cleaned on day 3, it was not cleaned, I can visibly see the room was not vacuumed and no surfaces wiped down. Breakfast was ok. Location was pretty great for walking and public transportation. There were several employees who were very kind. You pay for what you get.

Location: It was close to so many things that we were interested in (Borough Market, Mac & Sons, etc. and had a Tesco Express close by) and where we could walk to downtown quite easy. :-) But, we walk a lot so are comfortable with that and we are a couple. This may not be the most comfortable location for others (say for a single lady or the elderly) as it was down small streets. (check Google street-view). It felt secure as you had to use room key to even get to where the elevators were and then again in the elevator. Staff was friendly and helpful and were part pf the dining room staff so you had to go there to talk to them but they were always happy to help. Room was clean, and medium-sized (not super-big) but was perfect for us! Bed was comfortable. We loved it.

The hotel is a bit rundown. One life was out of service and our card didn’t work on the stairs. Our room wasn’t cleaned despite us asking - we stayed 4 nights. Breakfast was good - lots of options.
