“Very clean, newly refurbished pub in a good location with interesting artistic decorations by local artist who owns the property. Good base to explore this part of the Wales/England border. Comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We ate at the pub both nights and evening meal was also very good. Lovely staff. Parking seemed to be no problem, either in pub's very small car park or on roads in village.”

“Well where do I start, the staff were excellent as they were so helpful, caring and very friendly. The hotel had a great atmosphere and the food was excellent as well as being very tasty. Being treated by the cat was lovely as it was so friendly and waited for us at the top of the stairs when we came to our room. So much looking at planning to go back for another visit.”

“Absolutely wonderful stay at this gorgeous hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Great bed and spacious room. Bathtub, good size bathroom. Food and drinks good too.”

“On the plus side I thought the staff were very helpful. Our evening meal was acceptable, typical 'pub grub' if I can call it that. However our room was totally unacceptable, small, dishevelled and grubby. The carpet was very worn, a crack in the wash basin, a window which could not be opened and a mattress which emphasised the springs above comfort. “Fabulous new B & B recently opened. Olivia & Matt are lovely hosts and very welcoming. Breakfast is delicious and top quality fruit juices served in individual bottles unlike cheap juices served in many places. Our room was large and comfortable with a generous hospitality tray and large kettle. Soft fluffy towels. Ideal location for touring. Well definitely return.”

“Perfect stay! The hosts, John & Nigel were so welcoming. Property was clean and comfortable for our family of four. Breakfast was great, a lovely selection for the whole family. Great view too!”

“The cottage was adorable, well equipped and in a beautiful rural setting. The host was wonderfully helpful and friendly.”

“Very plain room staff are excellent. Breakfast was perfect. Dining room could be better.”

“These pods are first class, as is the pub. Incredibly friendly helpful staff, delicious food and a perfect location. Would highly recommend.”

“For us, just a one-night stay, but we arrived about 4pm on a Sunday afternoon, to find this is an extremely popular venue for Sunday lunches. The menu continued into the evening and we were able to see why it's so popular. A great meal, and then a lovely cooked breakfast the next morning. The room, facilities and bed were all comfortable and all in all, we had made a good choice in a quiet rural location.”
