My daughter and I were visiting Liverpool University’s open day and needed a place to stay for 1 night that was near the university. The Malacuna was a great place to stay. It was very close to both the university and Liverpool Lime Street station. Our room and bathroom were clean and modernly decorated. Had a nice hot shower in the morning too. And compared to other accommodations, it was reasonably priced.

My phone died when I was trying to do the card verification during check in process, but the staff still kindly allows me to get into the room and I was able to charge my phone at ease. Thank you! We had booked the dorm for 8 people. One of the two shower and toilet rooms were out of order. When asked at reception if there was a possibility of using another shower room it was a clear no. No explanation. One of our girls had used chewing gum stuck under the bedside table and her bed broke during the night. Shower room floor had not been cleaned as bits everywhere. Shower knob fell off. Location was great and we only had a one night stay

I was pleasantly surprised at the double room we booked. The private bathroom was excellent, king size double bed was very comfortable. The only issue we had was the room had no black out blind, so the room was very light from first thing in the morning as it was south facing.

I had a great stay at this hostel in room 107. The room was peaceful and clean, which made it easy to relax and recharge after a long day. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout my visit. Overall, it was excellent value for money, and I would definitely recommend it to fellow travelers looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay.

Pleasantly surprise after ready previous reviews. Reception staff efficient. I stayed in the double room with ensuite, very clean and bed comfortable. The double room comes with towels supplied. Hotel very quiet during the night even though it was a Saturday night. Would highly recommend.

Everything was good, although in a heat wave the room was very hot. Staff provided fans to take to the rooms to help. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
