Great public areas and lounges in this grand hotel. Staff are very friendly and the hotel is very clean. Breakfast buffet was plentiful and good. Actual room was small and dated but clean and functional. Perfect location in the centre of the city, and great to stay in such a grand old hotel for a reasonable price.

Very clean.lovely newly refurbished bathroom. Probably the best shower I have had in a hotel room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is very convenient for the train and bus stations. Also museums all within walking distance. I would have liked a softer pillow but apparently they were all the same.But that was the only problem we encountered. The lounge is stunning.

Easy to find. Parking was close to the hotel. Lounge area was lovely, some wonderful features in there. Room, basic. Appreciated the fan and the long black out curtains - worked a treat! Did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment, but lots of venues to choose from within walking distance of hotel. It was a great base to explore Liverpool - we did a lot of walking.

Love this hotel staff are brilliant and room was good but the pub across the road kept us awake till about 1am Feel that the pub could turn music down and shut open doors. This could be arranged with pub. Also people sitting outside asking for money during the day and drinking.

This is a two hundred year, 400 room hotel with great bones, a great value for the money. The property has two bars and a restaurant, all of which could use an improved menu of food choices. The property is well located: two blocks away from the Central Station and a little farther than that from the main Lime Street Station.
