“Very friendly staff all round .The hotel needs a bit updating stairs to room ,we stayed in Apple blossom room which was spacious with a large bathroom .Mini fridge in room with fresh milk nice touch .The room was comfortable in the heatwave ,with a fan included . “Lovely old pub in beautiful location, excellent breakfast, with home made preserves. The dinner menu looked very exciting but sadly we were dining elsewhere. Staff most helpful, carrying luggage and providing information. There is an onsite brewery! The night was extremely hot, so difficult to sleep, but very comfortable bed and well equipped room. The bathroom could have done with refurbishment to the tiling and taps, but was acceptable. There is a large parking area, by the river garden.”

“Bed was super comfortable and the rom clean, however, second year in a row I have stayed here and on both occasions there have been problems with the showers. I think there needs to be serious maintenance carried out in the showers. Drains not working, taps not turning off properly. My room, this time was next to a staff only room and at 3:30 am I heard doors opening and closing for the net hour or so, not sure if they were early workers or late night staff.”
