I was pleasantly surprised as to the cleanliness, and quality of this facility. The owner met me there and was wonderful. Hard working ranch family. Good value. Book direct. Take some snacks as there is no gas or food facilities in this old ranching community.

This place was different from other places I've stayed. The building had been used for apartments, so I actually was staying in a small apartment with kitchen, living room, armchairs and a couch, aside from the usual bedroom and bath. It would be great for folks needing a bit more room for meeting friends or family. There was no breakfast at the Lodge, but a spot down the road had a wonderful eggs and pancakes one.

6/10 Okay

We arrived 15 minutes after check-in time- no one was at the desk so we looked around for staff and found no one. We called the business number and ended up leaving a message, but didn't receive a call-back until 30 minutes later. At that point in time we had already moved on to find another motel. We called back later that evening and the owner/manager apologized and refunded our room charges.

A great place to stay.

The hotel room was clean and spacious. The manager made us feel welcome and accommodated us as a group that rented several rooms. The kitchenette was nice to have.

Lawn needed cleanup, halls dark and dreary, no one at desk for check in. Seemed to be an old hospital, and still looked like one. Surprised that a place like this is on hotels.com. Do NOT recommend this place!

This is an old convalescents home converted. It has an old building smell. There was no heat on a cold night. All in all it served the purpose. A place to sleep and shower. Thank you.

Great stay out of the way

This is an out of the way stay, meaning off the Interstate, in a small town. BUT if you just need a friendly, comfortable stop overnight, Lewellen Lodge works great! They bend over backwards to accomodate you. The place is quiet and definitely no frills. But dont we all need some of that once in a while?

Wonderful place to stay

We loved everything about the lodge - comfort, spacious, clean, quiet! The only problem we had was getting someone to check us in after having made a reservation online, arriving and calling the number posted on the door. After waiting a 1/2 hr. we found a second number in an advertisement and that person got a hold of the person on site. However, we would definitely stay again.

Very clean, and certainly affordable. A converted assisted-living facility, the rooms are mini-suites, with kitchenettes and separate bedrooms. Comfort and convenience would be enhanced by the addition of bedside stands and lamps, and a small table for eating, etc. The owners/managers are very friendly and accommodating otherwise. Very quiet, and the beds are quite comfortable.

Fantastic value!

Clean, comfy and owners are wonderful. I'm a decorator and would love to get my hands on this property and decorate it, but it is roomy with a couch and recliner and kitchen in one area and a separate bedroom with large bathroom... like i said, it is awesome for the price. I'll be back.
