“Lovely location. Room nice apart from damp smelling dark bathroom. Food ok... starter was very average but mains were nice. Although couldn't be helped the ovens were broken so the choices we made from menu weren't available. Service from staff was poor, not much engagement, very transactional, most were not very friendly. Breakfast was serve your own coffee and tea from a machine.. but latte was barely luke warm so had to have something else. Breakfast very average. Wasn't asked how stay had...

“Staff totally dedicated to ensuring the best guest experience. Annemarie was a credit to the place. It was lovely to chat with the owner over breakfast. Both the hospitality tray and breakfast put many other establishments' offerings to shame. The view from room 8 was lovely. We will definitely return. Thank you”

“Beautiful room with lots of lovely touches including the cookies and the cafeteria coffee. The choice of breakfast was really good and the coffee was great. “Couldn’t recommend The Tenpus at Charlton Hall more! We stayed in one of the lakeside lodges and had such a lovely relaxing time. We had planned to eat at the Lobster Pot in Bamburgh but lucky for us they were a chef down and couldn’t accommodate us so we ate in the Tempus restaurant which was outstanding. I didn’t catch our servers name but he was so friendly and made us very welcome. Food was delicious. Can’t wait to book again… absolutely loved everything about our visit.”
