Impressive building with lovely grounds; however unfortunately our room did not live up to the same standard with wine bottles & beer cans left at the door on entry, along with the odour from the previous guests takeaway. Thankfully the staff were able to accommodate a different room for our stay, but it is worth noting the rooms both shared a rather tired appearance and we left a little deflated bearing in mind the room rate.

Buffet hot and cold breakfast catering for all dietary requirements which was included in our stay. We paid to dine in the Caverley although you could also eat in the lounge and golf club . Menus in all 3 were similar,food was good but nothing exceptional. Beautiful hotel and surroundings .I never used the spa so can't make a comment. I definitely would return

First time we have been to Oulton Hall. And it was wonderful. Only problem was , next time we would ask for a lower floor , being 88 yrs old the 3rd floor was a bit of a trek. The staff are very attentive and thoughtful.

Staff, food and environment was great. However we were not given the room we booked for. We booked a deluxe family room but got a queen with insufficient bed space for 4. Had to make shift another room to fit. In addition, the air-conditioning was not working. Extractor in the bedroom was barely working causing th room to steam up even more. We know there is a difference as speaking with another family on a different floor, they had a room with modern air conditioning and theirs was working fine. Unfair service if they give some customers non fully functioning room for the same premium price.
